I have Kubuntu 22.04. Is there a program, script, etc. in *buntu that can rename all files in a folder with non-Latin characters to their Latin equivalent? For example, I have a folder that contains files with names like:
Andúril
Dúnedain
Éomer
and I need to rename them to:
Anduril
Dunedain
Eomer
I had Libreoffice 24.2 that I installed from the .deb packages on the libreoffice website. I got a notification that a new version was available, so I downloaded and installed the 24.8 one. I then noticed that instead of overwriting 24.2 with 24.8 like it has every previous time when I upgraded it, it installed them separately. Whenever I opened a document it was still using the old version.
I then uninstalled 24.2 on the command line through apt, and after that when I tried to start 24.8 I can't get any libreoffice program to start. When I enter:
libreoffice --writer
I get this error:
I tried uninstalled and reinstalling from the debs provided here:
by uncompressing the files and entering:
sudo dpkg -i *.deb
but I still get that error. How can I fix it?
I have Ubuntu 20.04 and kate 23.08.4. For years I have been using dolphin to open files in kate over sftp using something like:
sftp://user.name@server/path/to/file.txt
in dolphin. However, I just started receiving these errors in kate when I try to open these files now:

UPDATE I discovered that I had 2 instances of Kate installed, one through apt, and one through snap. The snap one apparently is the one that was opening when I tried to open these files from dolphin. I uninstalled the snap one and reinstalled the apt one to make sure I had the latest version, and the error went away.
Is there a known bug with the snap version and sftp, or is it possible something wasn't configured correctly with the snap one, or maybe the 2 versions were conflicting with each other somehow?
We have postgres 9.5. My computer (Ubuntu 20.04) has pgadmin4 8.2, but when it connects to the 9.5 server I get this error:

I was searching online & found that a change was made in postgres 9.6 that caused this error to occur in newer versions of pgadmin4.
When I try to downgrade to an older version of pgadmin4 I get this error:

UPDATE I tried using Synaptic as user68186 suggested (and also was suggested in the links posted). I read here Removing linux-image kernel causes linux-image-unsigned package to be installed that this is because I need to also remove the corresponding modules package. I was finally able to use Synaptic to remove the old kernels. For some reason it had a problem with 5.11.0-36 and 5.11.0-25. It was like I had to remove 36 first and then it let me remove 25. But after I got those removed, I could remove all the others with no errors.
I have Ubuntu 22.04 and Steam with Proton. I added the EA Origin installer to Steam using Proton Experimental and I am able to play Origin games through it with no issues. However, each time I start it it re-installs Origin. This isn't a huge problem, but I was trying to add the Origin.exe file to Steam so I could skip this step of re-installing.
I added the Origin.exe file and I can start Origin, but it doesn't see the games I have installed. It has a "Locate Game" option if I click the gear icon on a game, but no matter what I put in it either says the path is too long, or it thinks it's a system folder if it starts with a ".", or some other kind of error.
The Ubuntu path to the file I'm trying to load (Mass Effect 3) is:

I have Ubuntu 22.04 and an NVIDIA Corporation GA102 GeForce RTX 3080 video card. The video card has 3 Displayport outputs and 1 HDMI. I have an ASUS VE278 monitor that has the HDMI plugged in and it works fine. The HDMI is plugged in with an HDMI cable going from the computer to a KVM, and another HDMI cable from the KVM to the ASUS VE278.
I also have an ASUS VE276 that has the Displayport plugged in. This has a Displayport cable going straight from the computer to the VE276.
When the computer is booting, Both screens show the POST, the Ubuntu loading logo, the login screens, etc.
However, when it finally loads into KDE, the Displayport monitor goes black and I get "DisplayPort No Signal" on the screen.
I am using the Nvidia video driver:

Why would it see the DisplayPort monitor as everything is booting, and then not be able to find it when KDE finally loads?
I have Ubuntu 22.04 and a computer with 2 physical drives. Each drive has a single primary partition. If I start the computer and open a terminal, it opens to the boot partition, so it would looks something like:
bob@mycomputer:~$
Is there a way I can use cd to switch to a folder on the other partition on the other physical drive? I was trying to find some information about this, and I read something about possibly having to mount the other partition in /etc/fstab and treat it as a mounted partition? Is that how you do it, or is there some way to directly change to the other partition?
I have Ubuntu 22.04. When I press the Prt Scr (Print Screen) to take a screenshot nothing happens. On another computer I have with 20.04 this works. Do I have to do something to enable this in 22.04?
I have Ubuntu 22.04, a GeForce 3080 with an ASUS VE278 and an ASUS VE276. Both monitors are connected with DisplayPort cables. If I run this:
$ xrandr --listmonitors

it sees my seconds monitor, but it is just a black screen. The power LED is amber. If I try to turn it on I get the ASUS logo for a fraction of a second and the power LED is blue. Then a box says "DVI NO SIGNAL". Then it goes away and the LED goes to amber and the screen goes black.
How can I get it to work?
I have ubuntu 22.04 and I'm trying to connect to a local windows computer with Remmina. I can connect to this same windows computer from another windows computer using remote desktop. When I try to connect with Remmina I get these errors:

I had wine 7.0 installed, but I had to install some libpcre2 packages that broke wine. I was trying to reinstall wine using the instructions here (https://wiki.winehq.org/Ubuntu) , but now I get this error:

and it cascades down until I eventually get to the point where there is a huge list of conflicting dependencies that give all kinds of errors. I don't know how to revert to the state before when wine was working.
I have these lines in my sources.list:

EDIT: I tried to uninstall the libpcre2 packages to see if that would let me reinstall wine, but I got this list of errors:
I'm not sure why it's saying packages aren't going "to be" installed, when I told it to remove them.
Also, I'm not sure if this matters, but I'm using KDE Plasma.
I just installed Ubuntu 22.04 on a Dell Latitude 5500 laptop. I have 2 wifi networks, and every 30 minutes or so it will switch from one network to the other. I don't have this issue with any other device (multiple phones, laptops, and desktop computers). Is there a way I can tell it to just connect to a specific wifi network and not switch without asking?
What could cause it to switch networks like this?
I'm trying to install the pecl oauth package with PHP 7.2 and don't know what I'm doing wrong. I ran this:
sudo pecl install oauth
and it seemed to work. It said this:

You should add "extension=oauth.so" to php.ini
I opened my php.ini file and tried all of these:

I restarted apache each time.
I ran php -m, phpinfo(), and get_loaded_extensions() each time and oauth doesn't show up.
I noticed this in the phpinfo():
extension_dir=/usr/lib/php/20170718
but pecl installed oauth into
/usr/lib/php/20151012
Could that be the problem? If so, why would pecl install it into a different folder? Could I just move the oauth.so file into the 20170718 folder?
I'm brand new to Ubuntu. Just installed Ubuntu 14.04 (trusty) on my old Abit KN8 SLI. Everything works except sound. I went through all the troubleshooting steps here and it still doesn't work:

The sound manager shows 4 devices:

HDMI / DisplayPort (Radeon HD 2350/2400 Series)
I've tried all 4 and no sound. I currently have speakers plugged into the audio jack on the back of the case, and I'm also using HDMI for video.
Sound is at 100% in the sound manager. aplay -l shows:
