In my audio controls (Settings -> Audio, or the volume controls in the panel), I see multiple different "devices" for my built-in laptop speakers.

Playback Devices:

  • Tiger Lake-LP Smart Sound Technology Audio Controller Pro
  • Tiger Lake-LP Smart Sound Technology Audio Controller Pro 3
  • Tiger Lake-LP Smart Sound Technology Audio Controller Pro 4
  • Tiger Lake-LP Smart Sound Technology Audio Controller Pro 5
  • Tiger Lake-LP Smart Sound Technology Audio Controller Pro 31

Recording Devices:

  • Tiger Lake-LP Smart Sound Technology Audio Controller Pro
  • Tiger Lake-LP Smart Sound Technology Audio Controller Pro 6
  • Tiger Lake-LP Smart Sound Technology Audio Controller Pro 7

Of the output devices, two of them don't produce sound, two of them produce normal-ish sound, another produces weird-ish sound.

Each of them can switch between "Off", "Play HiFi quality music" and "Pro Audio". Currently all of them are on "Pro Audio".

What could be the reason? How can I "fix" it? In general I only want to see one device for my laptop speakers.

Background / use case

I photographed 24 paper documents with my Android phone. Each photo is around 8MB (I am planning to resize them later).

I marked all of them in my gallery app and used "share -> bluetooth" to send them to my Linux (Ubuntu Mate) computer.

I think the tool on Linux side is "blueman".

Problem

On my Linux machine:

  • I have to click "Accept" for each file separately.
  • I have to wait until one file transaction is complete, before I can accept the next file.
  • If I take too much time to accept one of the files, the entire operation fails.

This is a huge waste of time and attention.

Question

Is there a way to automatically accept all files from a specific device, or from the same transaction?

I am looking at battery charge history in the power statistics monitor in Ubuntu Mate. I think this is the same as in Gnome or other related desktop environments. https://help.gnome.org/users/gnome-power-manager/unstable/statistics.html.en

One thing I always found silly in this display is the steps on the time axis.

The time axis has 2h, 6h or 1day, but the axis is split into 10 intervals, hence each interval may be e.g. 36 minutes.

This means the interval lines are completely confusing when trying to determine percentage lost per hour.

Is it possible to change the time axis intervals? E.g. in a config file somewhere?

(If not, I should probably create a feature request somewhere)
