I currently have the latest version of Ubuntu installed. I was wondering how do I boot from a USB with Ubunutu on it. This is with the intention of re-loading ubuntu onto my computer.

At the moment I have only Ubuntu on my computer. When I was running windows on an old computer you would press f12 or something to access the BIOS, however on this computer, running windows 8, there is no pause to press f12 and I had to go into settings and choose to re-boot and access the BIOS as described here: http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/how-to-access-the-bios-on-a-windows-8-computer/

I have downloaded wine 1.6 from here: https://www.winehq.org/download/ubuntu I then downloaded the pokerstars from here: http://www.pokerstars.net/poker/download/

Both downloads went fine (I think) but when I try to open the pokerstars client it connects and then just opens a small black box at the top left of my screen and that is it.

Does anybody have any ideas about what might be going wrong?

I have recently installed Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS and I am having trouble using Amazon Instant Video. When I click on a video to play there is no option to play it, it just says that I can play it on a compatible device (kindle, phone,...) is there some package or something that I need to install?

I have successfully (I think) implemented the solution below but I still have the same problem.

After following the below I get:
