I am running Okular Version 21.12.3 on Kubuntu 22.04. I have PDF documents with pop-up notes that were created in Adobe Acrobat Reader, on Windows. When I open those documents in Okular, I can see the highlighted text where the pop-up notes are, but clicking on it or selecting it doesn't open the note. It seems that Okular doesn't recognize the notes, only the highlighting.
Is there a way for them to be displayed in Okular, or is there another Linux program that can do this?
When I use my bluetooth headphones with Zoom audio conferencing I want the HFP profile (Handsfree Head Unit) to be enabled so the mic will work.
On Kubuntu 20.04 I could manually switch the profile with
pactl set-card-profile bluez_card.60_AB_D2_45_5D_47 headset_head_unit
On 21.10 that doesn't work any more. Ideally, I would like it to switch automatically. Second choice would be to set it for HFP by default. Third choice would be a command to switch it to HFP.

I installed Kubuntu 21.10 on btrfs partition. By default, it creates @ and @home. I booted into my new Kubuntu btrfs installation, and indeed, I am able to make a Timeshift snapshot, just as "advertised". However, when I try to include @home in the snapshot, I get this error:

Every time I run skanlite it searches for all available scanners, and presents me with a list. I want to set my Brother_MFC_L2710DW_series as the default scanner so I don't have to go through this process every time.

I am running Kubuntu 21.10
I am running Xubuntu 21.04 and my apps are showing two very different styles of window buttons on them. The first is traditional and familiar, while the second looks kind of bizarre. I would like to know what setting controls this. See screenshots.
I switched the theme to greybird, it is the only theme that doesn't produce the bizarre window buttons. But instead, I get giant window buttons on the applications that are affected. They are not flatpak apps. For instance, I get the weird buttons on Gedit and on Xfce Settings.
Thunderbird 78.7.1 (apt version) running on Ubuntu 20.10 with default Gnome desktop.
I don't get pop-up notifications when new mail arrives, although I believe I configured it properly.
Thunderbird is running, minimized, and Birdtray shows new mail items, but no pop-up notifications. I do get pop-ups from Gmail in Firefox, so notifications are working on my system, but not from TB.

I am trying to attach a file in the "Send Fax" wizard of HP Device Manager (HPLIP 3.20.6).
In the window called "Select Files to Send", I click on the "Add..." button, and I get the error

This has nothing to do with the specific location of the file I want to add, because I get the error before I can choose location.
Aside from this, the fax wizard works as expected.
Is there a file manager that will let me sort/arrange various directories differently?
I want my downloads folder to be sorted by last modified, and other locations to follow alphabetical order.

I am on Kubuntu 20.04 with dual monitor setup. The primary monitor is to the right. But notifications -- such as incoming gmail messages -- show on the secondary monitor, which is to the left. How can I get those notifications to show on the primary monitor?
I set a certain window to "no title bar and frame". Now I want to undo that setting. Normally, I would right-click on the top bar, and choose the windows settings I want, but the top bar is now hidden.

I deleted a different distro on the same disk as Kubuntu, it was before Kubuntu (i.e., to the left) and now I have a longer boot time. The perceived delay is after I see the Kubuntu logo. The system is i5 running on SSD with 8 Gb RAM.
Maybe something with fstab, and UUIDs that changed? I will post some info that might help

Like the title says, I want to delay the autostart of certain programs. These programs appear in the GUI of Autostart.

The printer has a wired ethernet connection.
I am trying to run print-to-fax, and it used to work, but now I am getting error messages. Removing and re-adding the printer doesn't help.
Let me mention that Windows has no trouble running print-to-fax jobs on this printer, using "HP Universal Fax Driver", so I don't think the problem lies with the printer.
The HPLIP troubleshooter says (I pasted the most relevant section first):

On Kubuntu 19.10 I installed conky from the repo, configured it, and made an autostart entry. After a reboot, I see in System Monitor that two instances of conky are running, can't figure out why.

I have the Kubuntu panel positioned vertically and that doesn't leave a lot of room for horizontal text strings. The clock is in 12-hour format, and the AM/PM text after the HH:MM makes the text string too long. How can I get 12-hour format, without the AM/PM text?
Kubuntu 19.10 I have two different keyboard layouts enabled, for the two languages I type in. On the KDE panel, there is an icon for a keyboard switcher. I see options for it to show country flag, country name, or both. But I want neither -- I want the name of the language, instead. Is this possible? For instance, English would be "En" or "Eng", instead of "us". Hebrew would be "He" or "Heb", instead of "il".
I tried the various gmail notifiers offered in the repo and in gnome shell extensions, but I can't find one that actually works with this version of Ubuntu.
My workaround is to run Wavebox minimized, but it's pretty heavy just to use for a notifier. But it does have an advantage that it only shows unread mail count for important mail.
Just to make it clear, I am looking for an indicator that sits on the panel and tells you if you have unread mail.
In KDE desktop, the Chrome icon is capable of displaying unread mail count (when Chrome is running), just like it does in Windows, but in Gnome and Cinnamon, it doesn't seem capable of that. If anyone happens to know how to get the Chrome icon to indicate unread mail, in Gnome, that would be an ideal solution.
What's the easiest way to install this brand new version of GParted? There is a download link over here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/gparted/files/gparted/gparted-1.0.0/gparted-1.0.0.tar.gz/download But it seems to require compilation. Is there an easier way to do it?
