I check the EconoMode and it works in Windows but there is no option in http://localhost:631 or printer properties. However there are another options like printing quality (Normal/Draft) or print density (Light/Dark) that seems do similar work (But not exacltly). So is there any way to add EconoMode option?

I also try hplip and adding EconoMode to Other Options (Advanced).

I'm using Ubuntu 16.04 and laserjet p1102 printer.

Is there any way to connect to WiFi router with WPS pin? There is a question for previous version of Ubuntu, but I have not wpa_supplicant.conf file.

wpa_gui react against correct pin and show "connected" (Does not show connected with incorrect pin), but I'm not actually connect to the router. Do you have any idea about that?

The last command stuck, so I pres ctrl + c.

Why cannot allow specific software (like Firefox) to use internet but deny other software (link Chrome) that are using same port in ufw? In windows there is the feature, why ufw don't have that?

After plug/unplug power supply nothing happened, means battery icon does not have any reflect or when unplug power supply use battery until become completely empty without hibernate or even shut down. Just after restart can detect plug/unplug. This problem occurred (I think) after removing gnome-shell.

I can't run tor from Iran with obfs3 but when I download the latest version of Tor Browser from https://www.torproject.org/dist/torbrowser/4.5.1/tor-browser-linux64-4.5.1_en-US.tar.xz, it worked correctly. Probably because the last version of tor from https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/tor ppa is 0.2.5.12-1 but the latest version of tor from https://blog.torproject.org/category/tags/tbb is 0.2.7.5.

I don't like to use Tor Browser, so how can I install the latest version of tor package?

Could you please help me to install latest tor package version?

I want to replace unity with Gnome 3.16, but completely confused. Can I install Gnome 3.16 on Ubuntu 14.04 (I can't upgrade to 14.10)? Someones says it's impossible but there is some article about that.

What is the best way to do that? Is it a good idea to install gnome 3.16 on Ubuntu 14.04? If not, what about Gnome shell 3.10.4-0ubuntu5.2 ?

I try $ export socks_proxy=127.0.0.1:9150 and $ wget http://icanhazip.com/ but still show previous IP (icanhazip.com show IP). Tor working correctly on Firefox.

When ufw is enable android stuck in obtaining ip address and cannot connect to wifi. I try sudo ufw allow dhclient and sudo ufw allow dnsmasq bot both had ERROR: Could not find a profile matching error. Could you please help me how to allow ap-hotspot?

I have two OSs and the Ethernet lights on my computer don't turn on when the cable connected and I cannot connect to the internet. This is not a hardware problem, since my second OS connects to internet easily.

UPDATE 3

My laptop has a problem, so I connect the laptop to a PC (rather than laptop to ADSL modem) and for now every thing is OK. But how can I connect laptop to ADSL modem?

This problem is related to Ubuntu because I checked several time on Windows 8 and I have no problem.

I reset ADSL modem router but still have the same problem.

UPDATE 4

I can detect Ethernet for once and everything was OK, but when I restart still have the same problem. There should be a command to fix this issue.

Suddenly VPN disconnected and can't reconnect no longer on kernel 3.18.1, so I try to install kernel 3.18.2 but my problem still exist. But I can connect to VPN with 3.14 kernel easily.

My problem solved by disabling ufw, could you please help me to solve this conflict of firewall and vpn?

So I try to add

-A ufw-before-input -p 47 -j ACCEPT
-A ufw-before-output -p 47 -j ACCEPT

into /etc/ufw/before.rules but my problem still exist.

Another way:

I try to download source and compile latest mplayer, Now when I play mp4 file with command line mplayer Train.mp4 have no problem, but still when play with smplayer have the same problem.

Is there any other way except add -fps 23.976 to SMPlayer?
