There's an Orthographic Agreement for the Portuguese (pt_PT) language but some places won't accept the new gramatical spelling and force me to write in the old way.

Libreoffice has both dictionaries LibreOffice Dicionários but when I install one, it overwrites the other one. And I want to use both, depending on the document.

I know MS Word allows you to select if you want the portuguese spelling with or without Orthographic Agreement.

So, the question is: Is there any way or workaround to have both dictionaries installed and select the one I want in a per document basis?

For example, maybe creating some kind of pt_PT_PREAO and pt_PT_AO locales and copying the original files? If that's possible, how to do that?

I have a weird problem I don't know how to solve or even to debug.

I copy (in general, no specific application) with CTRL + C and paste with CTRL + V.

I would say that 70% of the times I use CTRL + C the copy fails and, when I paste with CTRL + V, I'll paste the content that was already copied on the clipboard.

If I hit CTRL + C like three or four times, the content will be copied but, on the first time, it will almost certainly fail.

Can somebody, please, give me any ideas on how to solve this?

I'm using Ubuntu 16.04.2 LTS.

When I need to disable the wifi, I usually click the network applet and remove the check from Enable Networking or Enable Wi-Fi.

The problem is, when I enable it again, all the wireless networks are gone from the applet. Ubuntu will connect to one network I have access but I won't able to see which one, neither will I be able to change to another network.

The only way to make the applet show them again is to reboot the system.

Any tips on how to make the applet to display the networks again without needing to reboot?

Any ideas if there is any workaround I might try to solve the problem?

I am creating a new conky config and I use some fonts with symbols as icons in the left side and the information I want to display at the right side. To align the font and the information, I use a negative voffset:

I repeat a number of times that "Web Symbols" font usage with the same negative voffset along the cong file. I expected the window to have - at maximum - 200px but it growed much bigger.

I made a few tests, removed the negative voffsets and found out that the Conky window has exactly the same size with or without the negative voffsets, leaving a huge amount of empty space in the bottom of the window. As far as I see it, the blank space in the end should be removed.

My most relevant window settings are these:

I have an external USB HD and I want it to be mounted on /data/FS/WD2Tb/.

I added the following line to my /etc/fstab file:

UUID="a05fab8c-5c4c-42be-9898-830ec5ad45dc" /data/FS/WD2Tb/ ext4 defaults,nofail,nobootwait 0 2

Yet, it's being mounted on /media/my_user/WD2Tb.

The UUID is correctly according to blkid:

/dev/sdb1: LABEL="WD2Tb" UUID="a05fab8c-5c4c-42be-9898-830ec5ad45dc" TYPE="ext4"

Do you have any idea why it's being automounted on /media/my_user/WD2Tb instead /data/FS/WD2Tb/?

I needed to update my systems kernel to the latest available version, so I executed

   sudo apt-get install linux-headers-3.16.0-37-generic
   sudo apt-get remove linux-headers-3.13.0-37*

Then I rebooted.

But uname -r still shows 3.13.0-37-generic

And theres no way I can update the kernels.

What am I doing wrong?

I want to execute php-fpm with a different user in my Ubuntu workstation, so I changed the /etc/php5/fpm/pool.d file according to some tutorials I found:

user = myuser
group = myuser

But when I try to restart php-fpm service, it crashes because my new user doesn't have permissions to create the pid and sock files under /var/run what totally makes sense since /var/run has root only permissions. But www-data was able to write under that folder and it didn't have any specials permissions as well, so I guess I must be missing some steps.

Do you know how to change the user of php-fpm and be sure it will be able to create the pid and sock files?

Obs: If I need to change the init script, I must say I'm not sure how to do it and any help would be appreciated.

I have a file when the line 15 has the full path to an icon. That said, I want to display that icon using the ${image} variable:

${image myImage.png -p 0,10 -s 50x50}

To get the line value, I would use sed:

${exec sed -n '15p' $HOME/.Shell/Conky/ConkyWeather/dataWeather.txt}

My question is, how can I do both things together? My current code is not working. I tried:

${image ${exec sed -n '15p' $HOME/.Shell/Conky/ConkyWeather/dataWeather.txt} -p 0,10 -s 50x50}

And:

${image exec sed -n '15p' $HOME/.Shell/Conky/ConkyWeather/dataWeather.txt -p 0,10 -s 50x50}

So, how can I make a variable work inside a variable and call exec inside image? Btw, if you know any other way to read the line and insert into image, it will do as well.
