I've set a keybinding for my volume keys using pulse audio control command pactl: 

bindsym XF86AudioRaiseVolume exec --no-startup-id "pactl set-sink-volume @DEFAULT_SINK@ +5%"

They work fine but I would like to have also visual feedback of the current volume like some desktop environments has:

How to achieve that in i3 or even have the volume (as text value) in the status bar?

I have a full disk encryption using ecryptfs, after upgrading to 18.10 a warning message started to appearing at boot:

cryptsetup: WARNING: Option 'size' missing in crypttab for plain dm-crypt mapping root. Please read /usr/share/doc/cryptsetup/README.initramfs and add the correct 'size' option to your crypttab(5).

From what I see at /usr/share/doc/cryptsetup-initramfs/README.initramfs.gz I should edit /etc/cryptsetup and set the correct size, but how should this size be calculated for my system?

This is the content of /etc/crypttab:

 cryptswap1 UUID=1d1XXXXXXXXXXXX /dev/urandom swap,offset=1024,cipher=aes-xts-plain64
encryption ecryptfs cryptsetup 18.10

After I run sudo apt-get install libgmp-dev I get:

The following packages have unmet dependencies: libgmp-dev : Depends: libgmp10 (= 2:6.1.2+dfsg-1) but 2:6.1.2+dfsg-2 is to be installed E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

Then trying to install libgmp10:

sudo apt-get install libgmp10
...
libgmp10 is already the newest version (2:6.1.2+dfsg-2).
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.

Source of problem

I need to install ruby-dev package which gives me the following output after running sudo apt install ruby-dev:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
 ruby-dev : Depends: ruby2.3-dev but it is not going to be installed
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

Then continue with sudo apt install ruby2.3-dev:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
 ruby2.3-dev : Depends: libgmp-dev but it is not going to be installed
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

Then is when I try to run the original command: sudo apt install libgmp-dev with the above output, any ideas?

I am using Mutt to send emails from my server. Using the MAILTO variable to send the result of running crontab tasks is not working as it seems that it expects to find /usr/bin/mail.

This is the output of /var/log/mail.log for a crontab job:

Nov 18 12:51:01 myserver postfix/sendmail[22649]: fatal: open /etc/postfix/main.cf: No such file or directory

I would like to avoid configuring any other mail servers (postfix, sendmail, etc).

Is there any way to make crontab use Mutt to send emails?
