My device can't found any wifi drivers as I turned to Ubuntu 20.04 on my GP66 Leopard with the following devices:

I tried to do the following:

first attempt

1. Add restricted component repository

    sudo add-apt-repository restricted
   

2. Update packages list

    sudo apt-get update
   

3. Confirm that you have kernel headers installed and updated

    sudo apt-get install linux-generic
   

4. Then install it again

    sudo apt-get install bcmwl-kernel-source
   

Second attempt

1. Go to the Intel Linux Driver Downloads.
2. Download the appropriate driver for my card. The one that comes with the Framework laptop is the Wi-Fi 6 AX210. Don’t mind that it is lacking the E.
3. Download and extract the files in the tarball to my downloads folder or other location.
4. Open my terminal and cd into the directory containing the files you just extracted.
5. Run this command. Replaced XX with the version number of my driver (or just use tab autofill): sudo cp iwlwifi-ty-a0-gf-a0-XX.gcode /lib/firmware
6. Reboot my laptop.

None of them worked.

I don't know if it's related but this brand new machine freeze from time to time. I suspect it is rather because of the Intel Graphics driver...

I deleted /lib/firmware/iwlwifi-ty-a0-gf-a0.pnvm file but it still don't recognize my drivers

I have an old Photosmart C4500 and I want to print a page from Firefox on Ubuntu16.04. Yet the printer is stuck at processing status. I can still cancel the task but and relaunch it but it remains stuck. I also removed and reinstalled the printer but it doesn't changed anything. It doesn't seems the printer actually receive data.

Do you have any idea on how to make this work ?

I'm following a Cousera course on Machine learning. We have to use some specific tools such as Graphlab create. Yet, after installing Anaconda with

bash /Download/Anaconda2-4.0.0-Linux-x86_64.sh

I had to create a new conda environment with Python 2.7.x (I don't now why they didn't moved to python 3 but it seems that it is the way the teachers do its thing on)

conda create -n gl-env python=2.7 anaconda=4.0.

And it ansswered me conda: command not found

I read the related question posted by vincent and tried the best answer by George Udosen with

sudo mv /root/anaconda3 /home/$mike

But still, I received mv: cannot stat '/root/anaconda3': No such file or directory

I want to download a virtual image of Windows 10 but each time I do it it fails as can be seen on this screenshot:

My guess is that my tmp folder is too small. What can I do to be able to download it properly ?

I just got my first wifi chipset : USB wireless card Atheros AR9271 but when plugging it to my device it doesn't seem to be recognized.

After reading this link in French from doc.ubuntu-fr.org it doesn't seem that it is compatible with 16.04 Ubuntu version. Before being condemned to buy another one I would have loved to hear your opinion about it.

I wanted to import locale from my computer to a ssh. Therefore I did :

Added export on each lines (Do you know any scripting to do it automatically ?)

Copied it from my computer to the ssh :

runned it with ./import but nothing changed at all.

I've just noticed my laptop no more produce any sound. Neither with the speakers nor with the headphones. Can you help me ?

I started to try to install Symfony php framework. In the tutorial, they asked to download it and unzip the files in the usual web folder : /var/wamp for Linux. I try to create shortcuts when an application are running thanks to the icon that appear on the left side and I do Lock to launcher (which actually impede to take a screen shot). Yet, I did it for Eclipse and even if there is an icon, it doesn't work and for SciLab it would never work.

Therefore, how to create shortcuts for programs on Ubuntu?

I have downloaded the ubuntu-14.04.3-desktop-amd64 Ubuntu version, I just did the md5sum check from the Windiws command prompt and had 414f5d28b2ac85d0e7aaf969f9bd0cb5 as a return.

As far as the md5 key given here is http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/tutoriel/comment_verifier_l_integrite_de_son_image_cd#liste_des_empreintes_md5 is cab6dd5ee6d649ed1b24e807c877c0ae does it mean I have to re-download it again?

Should I even delete the existing file?
