I want to list all users in jenkins, via the console script that jenkins has.

So far I managed to list all the users using this:

import hudson.model.User   
User.getAll().each { user ->   
   println user}

but they are listed by the first and last name, which I don't need...

I would like to list them by their user IDs, can you give me a hand?

I looked through the documentation but I fail to understand how to use it the right way. I'm not so experimented with groovy scripting..

I just logged in on a GitLab server and noticed that it had 18.974 failed logins since I last checked the server - almost 5 days. I checked the Ip's and it seems that almost all of them were from China and tried to gain access with SSH and Brute Force. I started to block some Ip's but then i realized that it is a huge waste of time and a better idea would be to block the entire country.

Is there any way i can block ALL China or any other country with iptables?

I found some articles on the internet but almost all of them are bash scripts. I'm a newbie on Linux so i don't really understand all those scripts. I find iptables really interesting and i want to learn more about it.

I want to make an alias for rm -rf /. I know how to make an alias; the problem is that I don't know how to use a succession of commands to make an alias with all of them. I want something like rm -rf / = echo 'something', but only when "/" is used.

How can I achieve this?

I got an Asus F550V (i7 Quad 8GB DDR4 nVidia GTX 950M) laptop from work today, and it came with Free-Dos.

I managed to install Ubuntu 16.04 but the cooler keeps working on maximum for no reason. I just started it and it keeps at high without anything working in the background.

Does anyone has any idea? I'm holding my urge to smash this laptop. It works like a charm on Windows 10, and nothing else. Please help!

Can someone tell me where is located the log file for vsftpd? I'm trying to learn how to install and configure a ftp server and I can't seem to find the log file. Can anybody tell me how to configure the service to make a log file or where is located?

Are there any commands via Terminal such as

sudo shutdown -P 60

or something like this, but with the role of making the PC hibernate instead of shunting down?

I just installed the drivers for ati radeon hd and my games seem to work just fine, no problem at all. Something happen since then as the movies i try to watch wont work properly. i don't know if is the video player or the movie. I tried watching in .avi and .mkv format and they both have same problem. Vlc and the main video player for ubuntu will behave the same, like lagging or flashing or something. i tried reinstalling VLC and same problem. Any suggestions?

First of all sorry if I ask a dumb question, I'm new to Ubuntu. I can't find find a solution to this problem.

I tried to install drivers for Ati Radeon Hd 7xxx series, Catalyst and whatever. Everytime I did that I ended up crashing my system and finding myself with nothing.
Had to reinstall it every single time. How do I do this? I try playing 1 or 2 games and it is lagging as hell, also I've got some pretty nasty lags Everytime I try watching a video on YouTube or watching a simple movie.
Any suggestions?
