Okular scrolls (at least when using two-finger touchpad scrolling) much slower than most other applications on my computer (in particular evince).
Is there some way to increase the scrolling speed just of Okular, or alternatively for all Qt applications?
This is on Ubunutu 21.10 (using GNOME 40.5).
As the title says, when on eduroam my internet connection drops after some time (usually after a couple of minutes when I have a lot of traffic, e.g. zoom meetings, when there is less traffic it might hold for an hour). The laptop stays connected to the wifi but no website is accessible and I also can't ping any DNS servers (though existing connections with e.g. Netflix sometimes still work). I don't have this issue on Windows.

This is the same issue as described here, but the fix there does not work for me. I guess that's because my Ubuntu networking config is different from their Arch config, so if anyone can tell me what to change in my config to make it match Arch's ("default") config, I would also appreciate that.
Edit: The problem is caused by switching APs so fixing the BSSID for the network in Gnome's config fixes the disconnects, but this probably not optimal...
Edit 2: It seems that my wifi adapter is being recognized as Killer Wi-Fi 6 AX1650i 160MHz Wireless Network Adapter (201NGW) even though it's a intel AX201. I also found these lines in my dmesg:

I have a laptop with an Intel i7-1065G7 cpu. turbostat reports

(these are 4 physical/8 virtual cores) When I throw a large single-thread load (calculating pi with mpfr) at the cpu I observe that two cores (maybe one physical core?) run at exactly 3500 MHz while the others have a lower frequency. But they never reach the higher turbo boost frequencies.
If I disable some of the cpu cores (e.g. with echo 0 > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu[2-7]*/online) the laptop does reach the corresponding higher turbo boost frequencies, resulting in increased performance (a task that took on average 18.5 seconds before now takes 16.8).
How can I get my new laptop to reach its maximal clock speed when not all cores are needed?
I'm using Ubuntu 20.04 with kernel 5.4.0 on an HP Envy x360 laptop.
What I expect:
On my old laptop with an i7-4712MQ turbostat gives
30 * 100.0 = 3000.0 MHz max turbo 4 active cores
30 * 100.0 = 3000.0 MHz max turbo 3 active cores
32 * 100.0 = 3200.0 MHz max turbo 2 active cores
33 * 100.0 = 3300.0 MHz max turbo 1 active cores
(this is also a 4/8 core machine). On this machine a single-core load makes one core boost to almost 3.3 GHz, under a two-core load two clock at 3.2 GHz etc.
I haven't checked individual cpu frequencies on Windows, but the task manager sometimes displays frequencies above 3.7GHz.
Update: So the problem disappeared... I have no idea why. I did uninstall linux-cloud-tools but I don't think this should be the reason.
I am trying to use HDAJackRetask to fix some audio issues. However when I pick some overrides, tell the program to "Install boot override" and reboot I notice no changes and if I open HDAJackRetask again I see no overrides.
This happens on two different laptops running Ubuntu 20.04 with Kernels 5.4.2-050402-generic and 5.4.0-42-generic.

When I open a .desktop file with missing icon its window appears as a completely transparent icon in my GNOME dash.
I think there used to be some default icon (purple gears) for this situation. The problem stays if I change the icon theme.
Any ideas on how I could get the gear icon (or something similar) back?

I recently bought an 128GB SSD for my laptop. After moving everything in / to the SSD I still have 95GB left on it. Now I was thinking about moving some of the content of /home/ to the SSD.
As far as I know there are two things to consider

For some time now when I open a Nautilus window, no icon appears in the Launcher, and when Alt-Tabing, the Nautilus windows are ignored too.
I'm using Ubuntu 16.04 with unity.
EDIT: I'm no longer experiencing this problem. It went away roughly at the time I uninstalled Dolphin, may that's what was causing it.

all of this errors seem to come from Qt linked libraries ("Qt" appears in most filenames and most symbol names). AFAIK KDE ist baed on Qt, which would explain why all KDE applications fail.
It seems to affect both Qt 4 and 5
Possible Origin
The day this problems appeared I had enabled wily-proposed packages in the Ubuntu "Software & Updates" System application. I interrupted the upgrade and tried this to roll it back.
After this I had a similar problem with ssl but it went away eventually.
I recently switched from Windows to Ubuntu and I migrated my Firefox User profile. I have set my Wikipedia profile under Preferences → Appearance to show Math with MathML. Under Windows I didn't experience any problems but under Ubuntu there is too much space above and below equations. See this example page, here's how it looks:
Any Ideas on how to fix this?

My Laptop has a 1920x1080, 34.4x19.3 cm Monitor and I connect it to a 1280x1024, 37.6x30.1 cm external Monitor. Since the external monitor has a 30% lower pixel density, everything on it looks substantially larger.
How could I configure my system so that everything is displayed equally large on both monitors? I would also be willing to consider using another Desktop environment to accomplish this.

I can change the dpi of the external monitor (as explained here), but this leaves everything on my external monitor blurry.
gnome-tweak-tool allows you to set a scaling factor that makes the content of all Windows larger or smaller. The problem is of course, that this applies to both screens.
Is it somehow possible though to specify different scaling factors for different monitors?
I have my computer set up to use the same home folder / user profile for Linux and Windows. As a consequence I have files like NTUSER.DAT that are hidden on Windows showing up when I ls and in my file manager. Is there any way to make Linux hide the hidden files?
