After installing Ubuntu 20.04, I noticed that sound is not working on my system.
aplay -l was giving me Sound card not detected error.
Running inxi -A | grep driver gave me ... driver: sof-audio-pci
I tried some solutions on AskUbuntu, but they did not work and all of them used driver snd_hda_intel. Other pages said that firmwares for this driver are not shipped with distribution.
Is it possible to make sound work for Ubuntu 20.04?
My computer has 1366x768 display. If I use Print Screen, then taken picture will have 1366x768 resolution.
But there is a question: Is it possible to get 1920x1080 picture with my 1366x768 display?
One potential idea I thought is to make 4 virtual desktops like this:
But, I do not have an idea how to do this. Any help will be much appreciated.
Edit: Creating Virtual Machine with higher resolution is possible (thanks to @danzel), however I am looking for utilizing more native way using only the Host OS.

Update 2: Thanks to comment of user @Eate the question was solved by adding the custom resolution:
$ cvt 1920 1080

Then go to Display Settings and select 1920x1080.
Imagine that, I have a fresh Ubuntu 18.04 installed. But there are some default packages or services that connects to the Internet without my consent. How to get rid of them completely or make them offline in an effective way?
As far as I now, they are:
popularity-contest - The Ubuntu Popularity Contest (or popcon, in short) gathers statistics determining which packages are the most popular with Ubuntu users.
unattended-upgrades - Automatically upgrades computer with the latest security updates.
apt-daily - Updates apt index every day automatically.
snapd - Updates snap packages automatically.
update-manager - Checks for release updates.
I could be missing something. Please post if you know...
The purpose: I want to have full control over the Internet, as in my case, Internet is limited. So, I wish to update or upgrade manually rather than automatically.

One day, I noticed that my Internet is being used. After using sudo nethogs I found that package called snapd is downloading something from internet regularly without my consent. The only snap program that I have installed is VLC.
So, how to see what things do/did snapd upload or download or how to make snapd run in offline mode?
I am going to show my friend some video. But there are some scenes that could be inappropriate for him. So, I decided to turn some frames black (as audio should remain). But I have no idea how to do this. Any help will be appreciated.

I have Ubuntu 15.04. Sometimes, when I open the laptop and log-in, the display is filled with black screen. But everything is running (I can even enter to the tty by CtrlAltF1 (tty mode is displayed) and exit), only the display is not working. So, I need to reboot. After reboot, the system works normally.
I need cause of this problem alongside answer. So, please do not hesitate to write detailed. Any help will be much appreciated.
My tries: updated NVIDIA drivers, used Nouveau display drivers. And I concluded that this not driver fault.
1st Update: I use lightdm-gtk-greeter.

5th Update: I have noticed that when I close laptop, it sometimes suspends unusually longer and only after that this problem occurs.
I have modem that does not include drivers for Linux. I can connect to the internet via Network Manager but I can't call with it. So I tried to install modem drivers (which has *.exe extension and includes connector application) with WINE, but the connector did not launch.
So my questions are:
a. Is it possible to install Windows drivers with Wine? If it is possible, how?
b. If it is impossible, how can I call with my modem?
I did not find any answers in the Internet. So, I am sorry, if it is duplicate.
