The big dock on the left. In other versions you could escape Unity Launcher by going to GNOME, what now? GNOME tweaks is not showing it as an extension, even though it looks a lot like Dash to Dock.

I see autohide options in settings, but no way to completely remove it and use the GNOME default.

Edit: I'm not looking for vanilla GNOME, but simply to hide the dock.

I recently got the Logitech M720. Pressing the thumb button in xev gives the following:

Trying to bind it in gnome keyboard shortcuts does not work either. There is no button entry in xev.

Using xev | grep keycode:

state 0x0, keycode 37 (keysym 0xffe3, Control_L), same_screen YES,
state 0x4, keycode 64 (keysym 0xffe9, Alt_L), same_screen YES,

In windows this button causes an alt tab, is it trying to do the same here?

Once you install a flavour that uses a specific desktop environment, can you change the desktop?

I installed lubuntu on my computer, but I want to use the unity desktop. I installed it with

sudo apt-get install ubuntu-desktop^

and deleted lubuntu-desktop, but when I restarted it seemed to reinstall the lubuntu desktop. Sorry if this question is silly, I'm new to Ubuntu.
