I would like to have an application launcher bar with two columns, is this achievable somehow?
Currently I use ArcMenu as a workaround to access some more tools quickly, but two columns of visible icons would just be great.
When I ls
in a directory, the colors are printed as in the top example. These colors are controlled with Edit → Preferences → Colors → Palette, which I have set to Solarized.
However, I have no idea why my autocompletion colors are completely different, as seen in the bottom example. Where do I set those? I use zsh
, but had the same issue in bash
, too.
I just installed Ubuntu 18.04 and one of my first negative impressions is the long animation of flying-in icons when opening the app menu.
Can I speed this up or disable it?
I used to have Xubuntu 11.10 side-by-side with my Windows installation, installed via WUBI from Windows. After upgrading to Windows 10, however, this doesn't start any more, so I wanted to reinstall it.
However, I have noticed that WUBI is not included on the new 15.10 Xubuntu iso, and is also generally not supported any more.
Is there any way I can achieve what I had before, without partitioning my hard disk?
I want to increase the mouse wheel scroll speed in Google Chrome on Ubuntu 12.04.
I've read How to change my mouse wheel scroll rate?, I'm on Unity though, how can I edit the commandline for the Chrome icon in the starter bar?
