I only run ubuntu,having core i3 processor,6Gb Ram and HDD hard-disk. It was ok for me to boot in 3 minutes now the time tripled to 9 minutes. looks like I went back to dinosaurs age.Any help is appreciable:

I am using ubuntu 20.04 vps. I was trying to open a port like 4000. Server's ufw is inactive. command iptables -L shows port 4000 is accepting tcp connection .But I neither can ping it or checking online sasys port is closed.Any other probability. I am group user with sudo privileged, I am not the root though.

I want to make a video tutorial.During recording,I am getting heavy noise(video link attached) from mic,probably it is recording laptop internal fan noise.But,there is no noise from mic in zoom or other video calling software.I have tried kazam,ssr, vokoscreen.Is there any fix?

Or can I record audio from external headphone mic.Mic sound noise video

I am using Ubuntu 20.4.1,My laptop's internal wi-fi card's performance become week,so I am using a mini usb wi-fi dongle,and also some time I am using LAN connection.When I am using LAN,I want to close usb wifi dongle.for that I turned on "Airplae mode".It turns off the network data flow through usb wifi dongle.But, in spite of being idle ,usb dongle is getting hot.

So,is there any way I can turn off power to specific usb port.below is lsusb list,Device 006 is my target port

Installed ubuntu 20.04 and every time I turn on the machine it starts on grub command line mode.then I have to type "exit" and select the right disk to boot from(which is "Notebook Hard drive".it works this way. I have tried to edit BIOS setting and put "Notebook Hard drive" in first place ,it didn't work. My device is hp notebook,in which both uefi and legacy mode is enabled for boot.

The 9 dots show application menu opens good,works good usually.But, once in a while it gets stuck like this.Not only it stuck alone,it stops whole system,No buttons or super button work at all.Only option is to switch off the machine by pressing power button.Is this a bug everyone facing?or there is a solution around? Thanks

I have installed Wine on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS. When I run any program containing Chinese fonts, it shows some box type structure.

Tried: update, installing Chinese fonts in Ubuntu, adding Chinese language under system settings. None of them worked.
