I am planning on changing my laptop's CPU in the next few days.
Should I expect anything from Ubuntu? Like a slower/different start for the first time, or should I completely reinstall Ubuntu?
They are both of 64-bit architecture.
Later Edit: After a few weeks, I can proudly say that Linux truly is wonderful! My laptop worked perfectly after changing the CPU.
As a side note, my Windows worked also without anything extra.
I use Document Viewer for PDF and there is a little thing annoying: when changing pages into presentation mode, pages are changing by Fading in / Fading out(it takes a lot of time and it's disturbing for long pdfs)
Is there any way I can change the settings to No animation ?
After I read this topic Why upgrade to Python 3.4 from 2.7.8 I decided to move to Python 3.5. While looking over "How to upgrade to Python 3.x on Linux" I stumbled upon this one: You probably don't actually want to change your default Python.
Is that still true? I read that support for 2.7 will end, even though not very soon. The part that scares me the most is the one with

I followed the instructions from TechApple on how to install an android emulator. I followed all the steps, restarted the pc, but now I still cannot have my android avd command recognized.
The very top of my ~/.bashrc file is :
export PATH=${PATH}:~/android-sdk-linux/platform-tools
The error I get is :
alex@alex:~/android-sdk-linux/platform-tools$ android avd
android: command not found
What do I have to do next in order to get my emulator working?
I've observed that in order for other programs (i.e. Partition) to access files from Windows partitions (I have dualboot with Windows7 and Ubuntu 16.04) I need to first open that partition manually.
Is there a way to stop doing that and let my programs find files from other partition directly?
Is a script/program to keep my laptop ON, preventing it to go into sleep/hibernate mode, sometimes?
I do not want to changed the settings, because only sometimes I want it to stay awake, and other times I want to get it into sleep/hibernate mode.
Note: setting it to never go into hibernat/sleep mode and when leaving to press command + l is not an option
I've recently added a greeting message (something like 'Hello Alex!') in ~/.bashsrc file. Now everytime I open a terminal, this command will appear first.
My question is : How do I make to center the command, no matter if my terminal is maximized or not?
