I just updated my i5 machine to Xubuntu 20.10 (with German language settings), and now in the menu the entry for app settings/update settings is no more available. I already rebooted and searched via sudo apt update/ upgrade for newer files, but it does not appear.
Pascal Klein's questions
I am using ansible for monitoring my home computing net, which consists several Linux machines (x64 and Raspberries). How can I avoid warnings from every Raspberry client?
[WARNING]: Platform linux on host raspi6.local is using the discovered Python interpreter at /usr/bin/python, but future installation of another Python interpreter could change this. Before: I am really familiar with many Linux OS and have knowledge also about Ubuntu, but as of now, Ubuntu IoT is an opportunity. Even the Canonical contacted online and via phone, did not bring up a solution. I am working with Linux since more than 20 years now, with Raspberry Pi now over a year.
I just installed Ubuntu IoT on a new micro SD card (32 GB) and started the Raspi with it. That's so far ok.
Now I need to get network, so WiFi access, as this is the only possibility to go on internet.
For this: The official documentation says: Please install network-manager. So I did: sudo snap install network-manager
The point here is, Ubuntu tries to connect any repos in order to get the files?!?!?
What to do next?
Edit: Is there an easy way to enable and config WiFi via command line?
I'm using an old PC with Ubuntu 16.04. I've been using this computer for a few years and Ubuntu has been running fine. Recently I upgraded to 16.04 and now every time I start up the computer, I get two or three pop-up messages saying "System Error" on the desktop right after I log in.
How can I fix this issue without reinstalling? I don't want to reinstall because I have two users on this computer with profiles that I want to keep.
