I have installed python-virtualenv
version 1.4.9 and the latest version is 1.6.1. How do I update to version 1.6.1. Do I have to uninstall version 1.4.9? If so, how do I uninstall it?

I delete the gbas.so file from my home directory but it keeps coming back. Where does it come from?
I also have to enter a password to connect. Not the root password, but a password I created for the DSL connection when installing Ubuntu.
So I would like to get rid of the password and connect automatically at startup.
