Pci ethernet , USB ethernet vs Wired Connection

I would like to know why all of the sudden one of our AIO pc's with Ubuntu 18.04 says it has an usb ethernet and PCI Ethernet connection and all the others only show Wired Connection.

It's just a ethernet cable pluged in and all the devices are the same models and the same os.

When does Ubuntu make a difference in showing you this option in the ethernet options?

Show IP/MAC-address , running time/DNS server and logged in user name on desktop screen

Is there a way to show the following things on the Desktop? Not like a warning but like text in the right top corner, not where the hour and network connections are in the panel, but really on the desktop. Like on top of the wallpaper.

IP address
MAC address
Boot Time
DNS server
Name of logged in user
