I wish to back up directories to a web cloud in a simple way: Using either Terminal or Gnome clicking, I delete older versions from the cloud. I select directories I want to back up and send them to the cloud. I want a simple and of course secure service; it can be free or paid. What is a good website for this? What utility is required?
Robert Armstrong's questions
I want to magnify a JPG and save a selected portion as JPG. Magnifying and selecting with the thumbsliders is easy. It seems hard to export what I am looking at. I use "File>Create>Screenshot>Snap", then right click to bring up snap of selected area. Is there a better way? Then I want to save that. There are Gimp frames and two rulers around the image. By selecting "View" I can tediously click away everything except the innermost ruler. It always gets exported. Is there a way to get rid of that?
With v. 15.10, I follow the umake method:sudo apt install ubuntu-make; umake android; Choose installation path: /home/.... ,; Then: "ERROR: We were expecting to find a license on the download page, we didn't." My question: what are they talking about?

How can I configure Unity's launcher auto-hide behavior?
I have a ten inch screen, and Firefox is crowded to the right by what people seem to be calling the left Unity panel, so I have to slide the window to see the end of line. I wish to make this panel vanish and the full screen be covered by Firefox. (Clicking on the little box at the top of Firefox makes it smaller, not larger.) I am not sure this is an Autohide question, but it is a window manager question. The post numbered 132796 about Autohide was marked closed because it duplicated another; but I could not find what to click on to see the other.
There seem to be the following versions: emacs23, emacs23-nox, e3, emacs23-lucid, and jove, as choices to download. Where can I find out what the differences are?
