Recently I have faced with issue that I cannot change password that is used in pgAdmin for connection to remote database ...

In pg_hba.conf (PostgresSQL 12) I have the following login capabilities:

# Database administrative login by Unix domain socket
local   all             postgres                                peer

# TYPE  DATABASE        USER            ADDRESS                 METHOD

# "local" is for Unix domain socket connections only

I tried to change password for postgres user, also tried to change password of postgres role in database nothing helped ...

Is there a way to change default password for connection to PostgresSQL ?

I have faced with an issue that when I search proper version of python I every time found python 3.7:

python3 --version
    Python 3.7.0

Then I have checked update-alternatives configuration:

sudo update-alternatives --config python3
There are 3 choices for the alternative python3 (providing /usr/bin/python3).

  Selection    Path                                        Priority   Status
------------------------------------------------------------
  0            /usr/local/bin/python3.7                     2         auto mode
  1            /<HOME_DIR>/Software/anaconda3/bin/python3   1         manual mode
* 2            /usr/bin/python3.6                           1         manual mode
  3            /usr/local/bin/python3.7                     2         manual mode

Then I have checked location of the python3:

which python3
/usr/local/bin/python3

Then I have checked PATH:

echo $PATH
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/dbus-1.0/include:/usr/local/lib/boost/include:/<HOME_DIR>/bin:/<HOME_DIR>/.local/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/games:/usr/local/games:/snap/bin:/<HOME_DIR>/.dotnet/tools

Turns out that python3 has found in /usr/local/bin before the searching in /usr/bin

Why update-alternatives has not created the link in /usr/local/bin for maintaining for proper searching of application ?

I do not want to remove python3 from /usr/local/bin, but in this case update-alternatives becomes useless

How to fix it that update-alternatives create links also in /usr/local/bin ?

Recently I have faced with the issue that on Ubuntu 18.04 pip3 does not work properly:

:~$ pip3 install jinja2
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/home/redra/.local/bin/pip3", line 7, in <module>
    from pip import main
ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'pip'

Then I have tried to reinstall pip3, seems like it is due to it and faced with another issue:

:~$ sudo -H python3 get-pip.py
pip is configured with locations that require TLS/SSL, however the ssl module in Python is not available.

I guess it is stucking ... I cannot install openssl due to bad pip3 and cannot install a new pip3 due to openssl ... Seems like it is cycle (

Any suggestion ? Has anybody faced with the same issue ?

I installed Ubuntu 18.04 in UEFI mode. After that I started boot-repair and restored Windows Loader. Then I rebooted and observed Windows Loader and pressed enter to load Windows ... You think it is end.

No, then I have faced with issue that \EFI\Microsoft\Boot\grubx64.efi is not found.

I have go to the directory: /boot/efi/EFI/Microfsoft/Boot/, and there are bootx64.efi and bootmngf.efi, there is no grubx64.efi !?

Seams like /dev/sdc2 is also EFI partition but created by Windows !?

Anyway, guys I am tried, a couple of days I have been trying to install properly Ubuntu 18.04 in UEFI mode and when I have succeed, I broke loading of Windows 10

Guy, help me maybe with some useful links how to fix properly loading of Windows 10 after installed Ubuntu in UEFI mode. Boot Repair does not helped at all. Previously I have used Boot Repair succesfully, but only for restoring Windows MBR, for GPT sems like it does not help at all

P.S.: In similar question ( Failed to open \EFI\Microsoft\Boot\grubx64.efi ) I have not got an idea how to fix the problem properly

I have faced with problem ... By some reason when I press Lock to launcher for some application it does not work ... I have found pattern, it is happened only to application that was previously installed removed and then installed newer version. In such case I cannot lock application to Launcher ...

What can cause such issue ?

By some reason software update does not work at all. When I try to update the system it starts and freeze for a long time. Every time when I try to update or install some package I see the following messsages:

I have tried to install Java using the following instruction:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:webupd8team/java
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install oracle-java8-installer

But after sudo add-apt-repository ppa:webupd8team/java I get ERROR:
