I'd like to have Pantheon as another session option, next to GNOME and Ubuntu's GNOME variant.
Is there a way I could install Pantheon on Ubuntu 19.04 without messing up various parts of my system? (E.g. the theme changing, maximize and close window buttons changing placement, etc.)
(I would like a full-fledged system, not a system running in a VM)

On a Mac, there's a relatively easy compose shortcut, but I couldn't find a shortcut for Linux. There doesn't even seem to be a compose key combination, based on https://help.ubuntu.com/community/GtkComposeTable
With version 5, elementaryOS introduced a picture-in-picture feature, allowing one to select any screen area and confine it to a floating rectangle above other windows. (Demoed here)
Is it possible to get this feature in Ubuntu?
EDIT: Just to further specify: I'm not looking for a full-screen window or a separate workspace in a picture-in-picture. What I'm looking for is elementaryOS's implementation of picture-in-picture, which allows picking any area within a window.
After I upgraded to Ubuntu Gnome 16.10, typing in Nautilus no longer searches through the folder structure recursively, but rather just skips to a file in the folder (the old "type-ahead" mechanism).
Why is this? Is the Ubuntu version of Nautilus patched to do this? How can I enable the standard Nautilus search behavior?
NOTE: This question is the opposite of Traditional search-as-you-type on newer Nautilus versions -- I'm trying to enable global search, disable local search.
