I used to be able to use nautilus and go to the location bar and "ssh://[email protected]" into a remote server and do things like drag and drop files. However, that remote server added two-factor authentication with duo (e.g. if I ssh in a terminal, after giving my correct password I now have to do a duo 2FA.

If I try to use ssh in nautilus, it just asks me for my password three times and then fails (or spins for a while and says "oops! unhandled error message: timed out when logging in").

I would really like a graphical interface, since the alternative is scp but now each time I use scp I also have to go through this process. Is there any way to do so?

Specifically, I want to remove the "unread messages" indicator to the top right of the thunderbird icon on the dock in stock Ubuntu 17.10 with GNOME shell. For instance, I have an orange circle with a "9" inside in white, to indicate the number of unread messages. In general I don't want any badges, but specifically right now I would like to get rid of the one on the thunderbird icon.

I have installed support for CTL-480 tablet as per: Why is my Wacom Intuos tablet not detected?. Thus, the pen moves the pointer and clicking all the buttons on the pen works. However, the tablet does not show up in gnome-control-center > Wacom Graphics Tablet > which just displays "No tablet detected, Please plug in or turn on your Wacom tablet".

Do I need to update or install something to get it to show or is this settings manager independent of getting the drivers to work? I am trying to remap one of the buttons to middle click.
