How enable HW accelrated encoding in FFMPEG, Ubuntu 19.04 ? (at least _nvenc variants of h.264/h.265 encoders)

Do you know simplified user friendly way, how to do that using TASKSEL or similar automated tools ? Thank you for any advice.

(my configuration: GeForce GTX 1060 6GB/PCIe/SSE2 / nVidia binary drivers version 418.56, nvidia-cuda-toolkit installed)

btw, my cuda acceleration works perfectly in BLENDER CYCLES ... so it works in general, but not in FFMPEG

How run AviDemux in form of AppImage (universal binary) on Ubuntu 18.04 ?

The problem is, that Ubuntu Dock extension looks like "disabled" in GNOME TWEAK TOOL, so it is impossible to disable it that way. After I installed Dash To Dock extension, both docks shows up in "dash view" mode. How can I disable Gnome Dock and why it is not possible to disable it using GNOME TWEAK TOOL same way as any other gnome extensions can be disabled ?

When i connect my EVOLVEO SIGMA T2

and type lsusb in terminal,

How can I install driver for EVOLVEO SIGMA T2 and then successfuly scan for dvb-t & dvb-t2 channels ?

I have downloaded and installed Intel Graphics Update Tool v2.0.3 on my Ubuntu GNOME 16.10 (from here). Then I tried to launch it and got error:

The PHP function bcdiv is not available by default. How do I enable that in PHP configuration?

My display is a DELL U2515H. I have a nVidia GF550Ti GPU, and both should support the native resolution of 2560 x 1440 over HDMI. But highest resolution ubuntu detected automatically is 2048 x 1152.

Tested solution "A" (unsuccessful):

1. The command cvt 2560 1440 40 gives me

   2560x1440 39.96 Hz (CVT) hsync: 58.98 kHz; pclk: 201.00 MHz

first and second are installed successfully, but 3. step is critical for me. Because network-manager-sstp_0.9.8.8-0ubuntu1_amd64.deb needs package ppp version 3.4.6 or lower and in my system is version 2.4.6-3.1ubuntu1 ... please help

I have successfully paired gamepad IPEGA PG-9025 (bluetooth) with my notebook (Ubuntu 14.10).

IPEGA PG-9025 can handle 4 different device modes when pairing, but only one makes sense for Steam gaming - Joystick Mode, so I pressed X and Home keys together and pairing was successful in a minute.

Steam does not see my gamepad /dev/input/js0 and I absolutely don't know how to fix it.

Problem

Lot of steam games doesnt work at all on my notebook or simply crashes. Propably graphics driver problem ... thank you for any advice.

Note 1: What is bumblebee, does it help in my situation?? Should I use it instead of nvidia-edgers/ppa drivers on my notebook?

I have problem with personal edition installation and launch on UBUNTU 14.10 (64bit). Thank you for your advice.

My installation steps:

1. Downloaded files from lispworks homepage: lwlper-licence.sh, lwlper-install.sh, lwdoc61-x86-linux.tar.gz and finally lwper61-x86-linux.tar.gz ... all files in one folder
2. set execute attribute on .sh both files
3. license agreement script: sudo ./lwlper-licence.sh
4. installation script: sudo ./lwlper-install.sh 5.sudo apt-get install libgtk2.0-dev gtk+-2.0
5. when i start installed app using command /usr/local//usr/local/lib/LispWorksPersonal/lispworks-personal-6-1-1-x86-linux ---> causes following error
