My home directory is mounted in a different disk than my os.

The consequence of this is when I open the file explorer it uses the icon for the disk explorer:

Instead of the file icon:

Is there a way to make it use the later rather than the first?

Using the software and updates manager rather than directly? In my experience manually installing the driver comes at the cost of more instability, but the 495 proprietary driver does not support vulkan 1.3, which I need atm.

I am having a problem similar to this question: Losing Wifi on 12.04, no way to get it back?

On a machine where the problem doesn't manifest with windows and even in other machines, my wifi just randmly dies multiple times a day. there is no warning, sometimes it works for hours, sometimes in minutes but eventually it is guaranteed to happen. Wether the machine is iddle or working doesn't matter.

lspci output:

The only way I have found to fix it is rebooting. I have also tried resetting the network manager with systemctl but that doesn't fix it.

The wifi dying is not that much of an issue, but having to reboot to fix it is a chore, is there a way to emulate restarting the computer but only in so far as the wifi/network adapters are concerned? just so that I don't have to re-open every program I am using.

I have a 10 year old computer with a brand new gt 1030. I just installed ubuntu (pristine installation).

I have tried both proprietary drivers and nouveau both error with the message:

When I search that error I find that usually means the card doesn't support vulkan. But nvidia says it does:

I am running Ubuntu 20.04, I am not sure which stack is being used and I don't know how to check.

Steps to reproduce: Install ubuntu, install vulkan-utils, run vulkaninfo.

Currently my attempt at making a chart looks like this:

The goal, nonetheless Is that subdivisions, should be the x axis and not a series of data entries in the chart. I have looked it up but I am still confused as to hwo to achieve this.

At one point I tried the pantheon desktop environment (I don't remember doing anything weird) and then suddenly I was not running Ubuntu anymore but elementary. I never used a bootable usb to switch the OS or anything like that, can I go back?
