My brother have purged python2 in his Ubuntu Desktop 18.04. That's what happened, Graphical Display Manager is failing. After logging in tty, I have tried to update, --fix-missing and apt install python but nothing worked.

It also may happen that the system's networking is not working as there is change in the network configuration recently (maybe that's why updating system did not worked). Pinging to 8.8.8.8 working though. I have setup the new static IP in the /etc/network/interfaces.

Now, How the system can be restored?

Headset jack works fine after each booting or after hot plunging. But after resuming from suspend, audio does not work as it should be, when the jack remains connected during suspend. Headsets sound rough, volume becomes low and stereo does not work also.

Sound card is Realtek ALC3235 in Dell Latitude E7470 running Ubuntu 18.04.2.

I want to install AMD graphics card driver on Ubuntu 17.10 running laptop. I don't know whether the radeon driver has already installed and running. Is the graphics card in use? If not how can I install it's driver?

In my brother's single boot Ubuntu PC, I was trying to resize /dev/sda5 partition with gparted, which is in ntfs format, but found a warning, that showing—

Unable to read the contents of this file system! Because of this some operations may be unavailable. The cause might be a missing software package. The following list of of software packages is required for ntfs file system support: ntfsprogs / ntfs-3g.

I have installed ntfs-3g and ntfs-config packages and tried to fix the partition with ntfs-fix. But it is not worked, a warning sign is showing yet.

What can I do now?
