I am aware of some software like Willow, DansGuardian, SquidGuard and Pluckeye. Many seem to be old or not so active, so I thought that maybe I am not searching with the right words.

Just to be clear, I am the root user and this is not for parental purpose.

I would like to block some websites for most time and track my time on a browser (Brave).

I am having a trouble to deploy my Django project due to Python version differences, so I want to update its version on AWS (16.04.4).

I currently have a virtual environment with Python 3.5, so I am trying to create the new one with Python 3.6. So far, I did:

$ source oldenv/bin/activate
$ pip freeze > requirements.txt
$ deactivate
$ sudo apt-get install python3.6
$ python3.6 -m venv newenv

And, I got an error:

'-Im', 'ensurepip', '--upgrade', '--default-pip']' returned non-zero exit status 1.

I looked at the similar question, and the bug that 14.04 shipped with a broken pyvenv seemed to be already fixed.

Some answers recommend using without-pip, but I want to recover packages by

$ newenv/bin/pip install -r requirements.txt

So, it does not sound like a good idea. What to do?

I accidentally deleted everything in usr/bin (and possibly more) and trying to recover my Ubuntu.

First, I tried to chroot with a bootable USB but my USB was not recognized by Grub. I have just bought my ASUS zenbook and only had 2 files in my Ubuntu, so I decided to reinstall it.

So, I deleted the Ubuntu partition and inserted my bootable USB. Now, I see a new black page saying GNU Grub with minimal bash in white and cannot access Windows.

I checked my bootable USB on another machine, and it is perfectly working there. What should I do to reinstall Ubuntu?

I have a Django project and Wordpress website on a single Apache web server. I use virtual hosting to host them together.

I made a virtual environment for my Django project and installed WSGI module there. My Django project smoothly works in the virtual environment.

However, when I started working on my Wordpress website, the website stopped working because my Apache could not start without WSGI globally installed. So, I globally installed WSGI module.

Do I need to globally install all the packageds installed in a virtual environment on my machine? What are good customs?

I am learning about virtual hosting. I have a Django project and need WSGI module. Reading multiple tutorials, I see that people install different packages of mod-wsgi, for example mod-wsgi and libapache2-mod-wsgi-py3. What are differences among them?

Where should I read to know the differences of these similar packages? How do I choose one over another?

I read similar questions and have tried their suggestions but I still cannot activate my virtual environment. The hierarchy of directories is:

myproject
-- virtualenv
-- startvenv.sh

startvenv.sh is:

#!/bin/bash
source virtualenv/bin/activate

And, I am running startvenv.sh by:

./startvenv.sh

No error, but nothing happens. Why? Ideally, I want to open a new terminal and activate my virtual environment there.
