I want to change the folder icons that are on a USB device, so that you get the same look regardless of which machine you open it from. Is this possible to do through a script that is automatically activated when the usb device is mounted.

Or can I solve it in another way.

to avoid misunderstandings I have more than 20 movies on a usb memory where each movie has its folder, they are these folder icons I want to somehow change so that they become unique regardless of which machine I mount the usb memory on.

I can’t open a normal text-file (.txt) by clicking on the file.

The only way I can open the file is to right-click and select "open with another application" and then click the select button.

Or open the text editor (gedit in my chase), and open the file from there.

My Default text editor is gedit, but I have try with mousepad to. with the same results

As an attempt I took and installed Thunar, and from Thunar it works to open text file with double click. But not from Nautilus, can I miss any package?

When you use the command journalctl -p err -b for example, you get an answer that ends with "END". What command do I use to end this and get the opportunity to enter the next command without having to close the window and open a new one?

where can i find Wallpaper clock saved as a .wcz file.

All the links I find point to "vladstudios" but are broken.

My goal is to be able to use the clock with wallch which then needs a .wcz file.

Or is there a description somewhere, how I create a clock / file myself

All the information I find about the fstab file shows that the units are listed chronologically.

sda1
sda2
sdb1
etc...

My fstab file is listed as follows:

sda2 (root)
sda1 (efi)
sda3 (swap)

Computer works, but starts a little slow, it takes a long time to connect sda2.

Therefore, I wonder how the devices are listed in the fstab file has some significance

And why [Pulseaudio] is in brackets the second time?

I think that [1198] is a upstartnumber (given by the system) but I can't find how to use?

I'm trying to get a windows share to mount at startup. I have followed this description. It works fine to run a sudo mount -a But at restart / boot nothing happens.

My fstab looks like this

//erik-bkup/delad  /media/test  cifs username=myname,password=mypassword,domain=mydomain,iocharset=utf8,sec=ntlmssp  0  0

In my journalctl - log I have the following error message

systemd[1]: Failed to start /etc/rc.local Compatibility.
systemd[1]: Failed to mount /media/test.

Found that using this command I received the log file for rc.local

sudo systemctl status rc-local

And it gives me the following error log

Wondering if I'm on the right path here, if rc.local might be the problem why my shared folder is not automounts
