I have installed Zotero-snap in Ubuntu 20.04.
When I try to update Zotero, or when I try to browse to change the default PDF viewer in Zotero, I get a permission denied error. Check this image:

What am I missing? What should I do to resolve this issue?
My workspace 1 is named in the i3 config file as
set $ws1 "1: Browser "
I have set up execution of Firefox at startup and assigned it to ws1 in the config file as:

exec firefox
assign [class="Firefox"] $ws1
However, this means that whenever I open Firefox, the window opens only in ws1. I only want the startup firefox to open in ws1 and have the option to open Firefox in any other workspace of my choice as well.
Question 1: How can I do it?
Question 2: Any efficient way to do this for multiple apps?
I am using Ubuntu 20.04.1 with nautilus file manager version 1:3.36.3-0ubuntu1. I have installed PCManFM 1.3.1. What can I do to make it the default file browser?
I installed exo-open 0.12.11 and tried to change the default file manager via exo-preferred-applications to PCManFM but it still doesn't work.
How can I make this happen?
I am using Ubuntu 18.04.4 with Dual boot Windows 10 on a Lenovo machine and trying to use THESE instructions to install Droidcam. When I do the installation, I get an error which says:
insmod: ERROR: could not insert module /lib/modules/5.4.0-42-generic/kernel/drivers/media/video/v4l2loopback-dc.ko: Operation not permitted
warning: insmod failed
After that I tried to run the software via terminal but got the following error prompt:
I think the error has something to do with the UEFI secure boot.
When I do lsmod | grep v4l2loopback_dc I don't get any output, indicating that Droidcam isn't really installed.
Can someone please help me with the installation?
I am using Zim desktop wiki for note taking on Ubuntu. I was trying to set up a dark theme for Zim. I couldn't get any information on it on the internet.
There is a Windows-specific page available on the internet which talks about setting up a dark theme, but there's no solution for Linux systems.
Is it possible to get a similar dark theme set up on Zim wiki on Ubuntu 18.04.1?

What's wrong?
I upgraded to Ubuntu 18.10 from Ubuntu 18.04. I have two problems but I think they're related. I have a NVIDIA graphics card.
Problem 1: if I have the original NVIDIA graphics card drivers, then my Ubuntu doesn't boot. It stops at the boot screen. I read on some online forums to do CTRL + ALT + F2 and uninstall Nvidia drivers. Then boot into Ubuntu and reinstall Nvidia drivers. However, if I reinstall the drivers, my Ubuntu doesn't boot again.
Problem 2: While using Spyder through Anaconda and Python 3.6, I get the following messages on my terminal --

After a while, Spyder crashes. I read on online forums that this is a problem related to PyQt and NVIDIA drivers. I need to use updated PyQt and NVIDIA drivers. However, I already have PyQt 5.9 installed and I can't install the NVIDIA drivers because then I won't be able to boot.
Checking for Ubuntu drivers gives me --

To install the NVIDIA drivers I use,
