Two days from now nautilus stopped opening any files. If I double click on a pdf nothing happens. The right button menu says "open with file viewer" but it does not work either. Only if I select "open with other application" the file opens.
I found this bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/1778069 but I think it is not my case. I do not have exo-utils installed
I am using ubuntu 20.10 updated.

I am using Ubuntu 17.10, wayland and gnome in a 3 monitors configuration. And the monitor in the middle is rotated to vertical orientation. When I log in all works well, but the login screen is rotated to the left.
How do I configure the login screen to use the monitor in the middle in vertical position
I have been using Ubuntu 17.10 for a while and is working great. But today after the update, I have a new shortcut, Alt+Shift, as an alternative Switch to the next input source. Alt+Shift is a common modifier in Intellij so a lot of shortcuts doesn't work any more.
I tried to change the shortcut but it is not listed in the shortcuts window.
Is there a file where I can change it (the alternative)?

I am trying to test the unity8 mir session in ubuntu 16.04 but when I log in using the session both my monitors turn off.
I installed unity8 using
sudo apt-get install unity8-desktop-session-mir
My graphic card is (lspci):

But is there a way to update all snaps, like
sudo apt dist-upgrade

I am using 16.04 and used snap find to find and install the ubuntu-calculator-app snap. But I don't know how to start it.
It is neither in my Dash (Unity 7) nor in my path (using zsh)

My app is a gui app (qt) and a browser plugin. The plugin is used only for firefox. When the user clicks a button I want to open my gui-app.
I would like to use a snap package to do this, but I can not find how to package a browser plugin. I need that the plugin is available on reload of the page.
Other solution can be to not use a plugin, but I can not find how to configure firefox to open a specific app with a click. I should be done by the app installer.
We have an app divided in two parts, a browser plugin and the actual app. The plugin is used to start our desktop app. These are not open-source.
We want to submit our app to the software center but int the guidelines says that all should be installable in /opt/
If i can not put my plugin in /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/ what can i do?
