I deleted a directory using the command rm -drf file_dev
as root. Is it possible to recover this directory with its content somehow?
sarp's questions
youtube-dl downloads neither videos nor mp3. This is the command I use:
youtube-dl --extract-audio --audio-format mp3 <Youtube URL>
The output:
m62iekbg9eo: "token" parameter not in video info for unknown reason; please report this issue on https://yt-dl.org/bug . Make sure you are using the latest version; see https://yt-dl.org/update on how to update. Be sure to call youtube-dl with the --verbose flag and include its complete output.
The version is 2018.03.14. I upgraded it using pip and it said it is upgraded. But when I asked the version youtube-dl --version
it still shows me 2018.03.14.
So I deleted youtube-dl and installed it again with pip. The commands I used:
sudo apt-get remove youtube-dl
sudo apt-get install python-pip
pip install --user youtube-dl
But now, when I try to donwload an mp3 it says:
bash: /usr/bin/youtube-dl: No such file or directory
Also I use 18.04.3 LTS
I've installed Matlab on my Ubuntu 18.04. Every time I want to open it I need to call it.
/usr/local/MATLAB/R2017a/bin/matlab
I think it is too long and waste of a little time. There has to be an easier way to open it. How can I open it simply by writing its name or is there any easier way?
I installed Code:Blocks on my Ubuntu 18.04 LTS. It works fine for now and I don't have any problem with it. But when I update my system using
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade -y
I get an error saying
Err:7 http://ppa.launchpad.net/damien-moore/codeblocks-stable/ubuntu bionic Release
404 Not Found [IP: 91.189.95.83 80]

N: Updating from such a repository can't be done securely, and is therefore disabled by default.
N: See apt-secure(8) manpage for repository creation and user configuration details.
Now, when I delete http://ppa.launchpad.net/damien-moore/codeblocks-stable/ubuntu bionic
in the Software Center, Code:Blocks doesn't run the programs I've written. Having this error doesn't seem to harm anything but it is annoying.
How to solve this? I'm taking C courses in school, so I need some compiler in order to do my homeworks, but I am open to use something different. Thanks
I was trying to install Heroes of Might and Magic 3 with Play on Linux. When I start the program it gives me an error message
PlayOnLinux cannot find wine (from Wine). You should install it to use PlayOnLinux.
sudo apt-get install wine
I tried this but I got an error message:
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.
What should I do?
Input:
sudo apt-get install wine
Output:

And when I type:

I am trying to open an SQL file, but unfortunately I have some problems. When I try
mysql -u -p dbname < dbsource
it says
ERROR 1049 (42000): Unknown database
The file also encrypted SHA512 and I'm not sure if that is the case or not. Need help. Thank you
