I'm using Ubuntu 17.10 with GNOME 3. How can I show all open windows of a certain application using the sidebar (aka Ubuntu Dock)? Right now I have to right-click and select "all windows" to see my other open windows.
Is there a quicker way to do this?
I have upgraded to 17.10 but I am frustrated that I am unable to drag a file say, from Files to a text editor that is minimised. In older versions I was able to drag it to the sidebar, hover over the application and it would open. Is there a way to get this to work in 17.10?
When I try and print PDFs on Ubuntu 17.10 with my Canon MG5750 the second side of every double sided page cuts off the first inch of content.
This also occurred in 16.04 and happens with all PDF viewers I have tested (firefox's native, okular, and the default PDF viewer that comes with Ubuntu)
I have just bought an Asus Zenbook UX410U. The fan is very loud and I would like to adjust the settings since the CPU cores are showing to have temperatures of around 37C.

I tried to install the NVIDIA graphics driver and after restarting on boot I get a blackscreen with the error:

I've read on forums that it is to do with not having enough power in the USB but I've tried plugging my laptop in and it doesn't seem to make a difference
Edit: Apparently this is not the cause of the issue.
I have a Nvidia Geforce 840M graphics card and intel i7 processor. I tried to install the graphics driver using this driver: http://www.nvidia.co.uk/download/driverResults.aspx/121199/en-uk and followed the instructions by running:
