I have been using XAMPP to work on personnal project using PHP. XAMPP used to work before when I first installed it but now there seems to be an issue that I can't seem to resolve. Here's what happens:

  • I have aliases for my lampp commands and whenever I run it as a normal user, it asks me to be root.
  • Then when I add sudo before the command to become root, it tells me there is no such command.

How can I solve this problem?

It's been a while, hope y'all are doing great. So I had a day off from work today and decided to install Ubuntu 20.04 alongside Windows 10 on my Dell G7 7700, and as expected, everything didn't go well. First, I created a 200GB partition on Windows before booting from my Ubuntu 20.04 LTS flash drive. Then Ubuntu complained about Intel RST and I had to switch Storage SATA from Raid to AHCI in the UEFI. After that, Ubuntu complained about Bitlocker so I had to turn that off in Windows. Anyways, I was finally able to complete Ubuntu installation by selecting "Install alongside Windows". And then, I re-switched Storage SATA from AHCI back to Raid in the UEFI. Cuz otherwise Windows won't launch. So now my computer boots with GRUB and I can choose Windows and it seems to work fine, whereas when I select Ubuntu it doesn't load Ubuntu but sends me this:

Gave up waiting for root file system device. Common problems:
 - Boot args (cat /proc/cmdline)
   - Check rootdelay= (did the system wait long enough?)
 - Missing Modules (cat /proc/modules; ls/dev)

But that doesn't ring a bell to me so I ran Boot-repair with my Ubuntu flash-drive and it gave me this: Boot-Repair on Pastebin

So I am a little confused and would like some help to solve this problem.

I recently upgraded Ubuntu from 17.10 to 18.04 LTS and used my usb key as a backup for my files. Now that I am on Ubuntu 18.04, I have a problem with duplicity. In fact, when I run the restore process, the restore windows says "STORAGE LOCATION NOT AVAILABLE, Waiting for Google to be configured in your backup settings..." and then nothing happens. Can you help me please? Thank you very much

I just installed Ubuntu 18.04 after deleting Ubuntu 17.10, I created a back up on my usb drive but Ubuntu 18.04 won't restore the files as it says "RESTORE FAILED Failed to execute child process “duplicity” (No such file or directory)"

I do not have any other copies of my ancient files and those are very important to me, can you help get my files restored, please?

I have an issue with my Sony Vaio SVE15128CXS laptop. Only when I choose to suspend it in the top right hand corner, or close the laptop to make it suspend, my keyboard stops working after resume.

I can only use the screen keyboard to login and after that, I have to save my work and restart the computer to use it normally.

It does not happen if I leave the computer on and it goes to sleep mode by itself.

How can I solve this issue?

I tried installing Ubuntu 16.04 LTS alongside the Windows 8.1 of my Vaio SVE15128CXS laptop. It is the first time I am trying to do this with an UEFI computer system, I read carefully the instructions to do it but I did not find Fastboot or quickboot in my UEFI system. Ubuntu is installed normally but my computer does not boot on Grub, I have to put in my usb key then boot into ubuntu, to restart my pc on ubuntu whenever i want to boot on Ubuntu, otherwise it directly boots on Windows. I tried to fix the problem with Boot-repair, but it did not work. And know I am asking you for help.

Please help me fix my problem ASAP, and thank you in advance.
