Whenever I select stuff from the desktop with my mouse, gnome-shell process seems to use way more cpu than the usual and it becomes very laggy.
I am using Ubuntu 19.04 with Nvidia proprietary drivers.

I have been looking for one for a long time now, but I haven't found even one working port of Whatsapp web for ubuntu.
There was one called whatsie if I remember correctly, but now it doesn't work anymore because the version of chrome is old, or something like that.

I am Ubuntu 18.04 lts Budgie, and somehow whenever I am not moving my mouse, either on fullscreen or not, the video freezes, until I move my mouse again. It happens all the time, on Chrome and Chromium.
I do have Nvidia proprietary driver installed.
Someone asked something similar but for Ubuntu 11, and It's a bit outdated.
Edit: it doesn't happen on Firefox from what I have seen so far.

I am using two monitors, and Ubuntu 17.10 .
There are some times, that one monitor will not display, after I boot into Ubuntu. It will return to work only after I unplug it and plug it again.
It seems that all the programs that I open will use the second monitor as well, and I can use the mouse on the second monitor, But the monitor doesn't display anything, just black screen.
Also, when I re-plug the monitor, Ubuntu doesn't seem to refresh anything, like it already knew that the screen was connected.
EDIT: Another thing I forgot to mention, when I get the login screen both monitors will work normally, only after I log in, the issue starts.
EDIT: It also happens on Elementary OS Loki, which means the problem is on the Ubuntu 16.04 lts version as well.
Is there any solution for this issue? Thank you very much in advance :)
My PC has two hard drives and one SSD. I installed Ubuntu 17.10 on the SSD, however, I am using one of the hard drives to store my files.
When ever my PC boots into Ubuntu, I can't use the hard drive, until I open it on Files->Other Locations->and then I choose the hard drive folder. And only then the folder appears on /media/
Is there any command I can use to make that happen, other then opening the folder again and again? Or maybe there is a fix to that problem?

I have two monitors connected by an hdmi cable, one has 1920*1080 resolution and the second one has 1366*768 resolution.
I have my bigger monitor as my main display, and unfortunately the icons on the second screen are located above the screen. as can be seen here:
Also, when I open stuff like the Files program, the program launches above the screen size, so I can't close it or move it around..
Can you please help me fix that problem? it didn't happened on UBUNTU 17.04.

I have downloaded Ubuntu 17.10 recently, and I found out that if you move the cursor on the top bar the mouse is starting to lag. (especially if you open one of the tabs on the top bar, and then move you mouse across the bar).
I thought that's the only problem with the mouse, but then when I opened a game that is working on OPEN-GL, the mouse just didn't stop lagging, of course, when I closed the game, the mouse was working ok. (by the way, it happend with every steam game).
I was looking for an answer, but all I found is this solution How can I get rid of mouse lag under Ubuntu?.
It did not happen when I used Ubuntu 17.04.

I have done the switch from Ubuntu 17.04 to 17.10, but when I downloaded Steam, and opened one game, it crashed after one minute of playing.
I want to mention that it happend on Ubuntu 17.04 as well, but only in TF2.
I've tried many games, and I got the same result, the game freezes, then it has a sound loop, then it crash, but I do not get any error message. (most of them are working on OpenGL)

Important edit: The games don't work in unity, gnome,either on xorg, or wayland session, in fact, after the game crashes I get a messagebox saying report a bug, but nothing happens after I click report.

I have a laptop with Ubuntu 17.04 desktop installed.
And I noticed that Ubuntu has just announced their new version (17.10). However, when I'm trying to open update-manager, it just tells me that I have the newest version.
Also, when I type the sudo do-release-upgrade command on the terminal, it tells me the same thing (No new release found.)
Is there any reasons for that, and what can I do? or should I just wait for that version, to get to the server?
