If I print something and the printer is not available, the print job is queued and the queue can be shown, using the global configuration menue (Devices -> Printers). There for each printer device the number of pending jobs is shown as button. Selecting this button opens a dialog window with a list of pending jobs. Every job in one line is combined with buttons. One of this buttons is a cancel button. But selecting this cancel-button does not do anything.

How can I delete pending print jobs?
Is there any workaround with a shell command?

When creating a zip file with password protection in Ubuntu 16.04, using the Nautilus context menu, I was asked for zip options like password protection.

Under Ubuntu 18.04 there seems to be no way to select any zip options. Therefore it is not possible to create a zip file with password protection using the Nautilus context menu.

Workarround: creating the zip file with shell command

zip -P pass123 zipfile.zip folder2zip/

Any ideas to create the password protected zip-file from Nautilus?

Neither Bluetooth connection nor USB connection is able to transfer files from Android smartphone to Ubuntu 18.04. Same devices with Ubuntu 16.04 did not show any problems. When starting Nautilus, it shows the android device, but when opening it, it stays busy and does not show any results.

When starting Nautilus from shell and opening Android folder, I get the following message:

Nautilus-Share-Message: 05:41:13.818: Called "net usershare info" but it failed:  
Childprocess »net« could not be executed (No such file or directory)

My workarround at the moment: installing SSHHelper on Android and using scp to copy files via SSH.

I am testing Ubuntu 17.10 Desktop as a Virtualbox 5.2 guest. The Virtualbox guest additions are installed from Virtualbox Addition ISO. Virtualbox itself is running on a Ubuntu 16.04 host.

After a first view everything works fine. But as soon as I start the Firefox browser any application windows are frozen for several seconds. There are no special activities in the system visible, nor is there any warning or error in syslog.

The "frozen" situation stays also, when I kill the firefox process. After system reboot everything works fine as long as I start Firefox again.

Working with Chromium does not cause any problems.

Any ideas what I can do to solve that problem or what I can check?
