On the same keyboard with ubuntu 16.04, the midpoint (U+00B7) has been accessible with AltGr + Shift + & (key 1, upper left)

In ubuntu 20.04, none of the combination I've found listed in azerty flavors has been working so far :

  • AltGr + ⇧ Maj + ;
  • AltGr + ⇧ Maj + 1
  • AltGr + :
  • ⇧ Maj + AltGr + .
  • ⇧ Maj + *

An out of the box 20.04 installation ends up as follows:

$ setxkbmap -print | grep xkb_symbols
   xkb_symbols   { include "pc+fr(azerty)+us:2+inet(evdev)" };

$ setxkbmap -query
rules:      evdev
model:      pc105
layout:     fr,us
variant:    azerty,

Do I have to add manually each French specific character like suggested in How do I write french accents in Ubuntu 20.04 ?

How could I investigate what's different in my configuration between my 16.04 and my 20.04 ?

On a 14.04 LTS, my docker daemon doesn't start at init when internet isn't available. An ifconfig doesn't show any docker0. The only related message I've found is in /var/log/kern.log :

IPv6: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): docker0: link is not ready

I can start the daemon manually:

sudo service docker start

But how to go around launching the docker daemon at startup when offline?

Update: docker daemon is already started at init

$ ls /etc/init.d/docker
/etc/init.d/docker

but it doesn't start when the init is offline. I haven't found any check related to network in /etc/init.d/docker

I can't upgrade my lucid lynx 10.04 LTS because newer distributions of ubuntu don't work on that computer. I need to install a git version 1.7.10 for credential management. Git version is 1.7.0.4 on 10.04 LTS:

$ dpkg -l *git*
+++-==============-==============-============================================
ii  git-core       1:1.7.0.4-1ubu fast, scalable, distributed revision control

Is there a way or a backport to install git 1.7.10 or newer ?
