Gnome Tweaks settings not sticking

I use gnome tweaks to switch my left CTRL and ALT keys. This has been working fine since 18.4, and I had no issues since upgrading to 20.4 until today...

When I open the settings I can see the checkbox to swap the keys is still ticked. When I untick the checkbox and reapply it the key bindings work - for around 5 minutes. Then for no apparent reason reverts back to default. I've even tried leaving the window open - I can see it remain checked, wait for it to no longer apply, it's still ticked, I untick and re-tick it and it works again

Any help for how I can troubleshoot this is much appreciated.

Unable to get wifi adapter working - clean 19.04 install - network unclaimed

My wifi card is an Intel® Wireless-AX200 (802.11/a/b/g/n/ac/ax), Bluetooth® 5, and bluetooth is working. I've tried following various guides, however these drivers are apparently yet to make it into the kernel.

Their product brief states linux is supported:

Laptop screen works until login - second screen works after that

Problem is as stated in the title. When I safe load using the motherboard graphics the screen works throughout login and after.

When I use my nvidea drivers (nvidea-418) the laptop screen works until I login, after I hit enter on my password it freezes around a tenth of a second later, and then my external monitor kicks in.

The whole xorg log file is too big to paste, but what I believe contains the relevant parts are:

I'm assuming one of the internal display ports should be reading as connected? Any help as to how to fix or further diagnose is much appreciated

Updating the Linux Kernel - Ubuntu 18.10

I'm trying to upgrade my linux kernel to 4.20, and am currently on 4.18:

uname -a => Linux ubuntu 4.18.0-15-generic #16-Ubuntu SMP Thu Feb 7 10:56:39 UTC 2019 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

I've tried:

sudo apt install linux-image-generic
sudo apt update && sudo apt full-upgrade && sudo apt autoremove && sudo apt clean

Which all seem to leave me at 4.18. Is there any way to explicitly tell Ubuntu to upgrade the Linux Kernel? I've tried most the answers I can find online with no joy
