I have an OLD.pdf annotated using okular. I also have a NEW.pdf, which is the OLD.pdf without anotations plus an extra chapter in the end.

How can I transfer the annotations from the OLD.pdf to the NEW.pdf?

I want to be able to edit, using okular, the annotations that NEW.pdf has from the OLD.pdf.

By the way I think annotations are stored in ~/.local/share/okular/docdata/ but I have no clue what to do. These numbers in the names of the files are a mystery to me.

I have no clue what the viewport value does. Where is the text of my annotations?

In Ubuntu 16.04 LTS I used to drag home directory window to left or right and that window would then automatically adjust to the half of the screen ( this is called view split left or right ) . In Ubuntu 18.04 LTS this does indeed happen with all windows , but it does not happen with the home directory window . I have even tried the keyboard shortcut for view split left or right for home directory and is not working while it works for all other windows .
Does anyone know how to view split left or right in Ubuntu 18.04 LTS for home directory window?

I used to have ubuntu 16.04 lts . Now I have 18.04 lts . In 16.04 when I disabled wifi , that option was preserved after shutdown and boot . Now in 18.04 lts if I disable wifi the option is not preserved . Hence the problem is not due to my G505s lenovo laptop . I know that airplane mode disables more than just wifi and I prefer that mode for personal reasons . I have searched in the internet and have not find anything helpful . I would like to know how to preserve airplane mode in 18.04 lts .
