Strange update error appeared while upgrading all other updates setting up fine just this two: grub-efi-amd64-signed/bionic-updates 1.93.2+2.02-2ubuntu8.1 amd64 [upgradable from: 1.93.1+2.02-2ubuntu8.1] unattended-upgrades/bionic-updates,bionic-updates 1.1ubuntu1.18.04.1 all [upgradable from: 1.1ubuntu1]

Give me this error:

I have recently installed Ubuntu 18.04 instead of Windows, but temperature of CPU is raised on 50% on Windows it was 35-40 degrees, and on Ubuntu it become 55-60 degrees in relaxed working.

I checked temperature through terminal.

Computer(ASUS K55VJ) parameters is:

Intel® Core™ i5 3210M Processor
Intel® Chief River Chipset HM76
NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 635M with 2GB DDR3 VRAM
Power adapter: Output :
19 V DC, 4.74 A, 90 W ((Dual Core)) , 120 W ((Quad Core))
Input :
100 -240 V AC, 50/60 Hz universal

Anyone had problems with this laptop temperature?

I will understand if this question is not related to Ubuntu specifically but on AskBlender did't find any answer.

Installed Blender in Ubuntu with command: sudo apt install blender everything installed ok and blender is working. But when I attach PSD file from my another PC with Windows Blender destroys PSD file and turn it to 0b PSD text file.

Krita and GIMP opens PSD files fine, and resaving files throug them did't help, Blender still destroys them.

I want to encrypt some files but can't find trusty programm to do that, and TrueCrypt is unsafe now atleast it's what the internet say.

Any advice will be good.

I'am trying to build a bridge for a VirtualBox.

To do that I used this tutorial with a few exceptions because some of the tips not working for Ubuntu 18.04

All of exceptions was on the dns part setting.

1. I have installed dnsmasq component with a Terminal apt-get install dnsmasq
2. Edited /etc/dnsmasq.conf to include: interface=vnet0 dhcp-range=172.16.0.2,172.16.0.254,1h
3. Restarted dnsmasq with folowing command: /etc/init.d/dnsmasq restart - Not working in Ubuntu 18.04; So I used this command instead: sudo service network-manager restart
4. All other parts was like in the tutorial.

But suddenly my VirtualMachine is not connecting to internet so I checked a status of dnsmasq and it gived me this data in Terminal window:

I seeked for the solution in google, found some tips on bugs.launchpad

Tried to do as "Simon Déziel (sdeziel)" commented, his comment:

Adding the following to the [Unit] section of dnsmasq.service fixes the problem: After=network-online.target Wants=network-online.target

But nothing has changed.

I am stuck for now, I am a new user on linux, so maybe there somthing I have missed.

Found some kind of solution but it't more like a stick than a full solution.

Found it here by yosi1984:

You have systemd-resolved enabled as the local DNS server. You can disable it by setting DNSStubListener=no in /etc/systemd/resolved.conf and then restart the systemd-resolved service. It will then start without binding to port 53, allowing dnsmasq to bind instead.Thing is bridge started to working, but the connection on my host machine was compleatly blocked.

Previous actions didn't help either.

Found some solution that fixes the issue of 53 port thanks to: cmak.fr

His answer in his question fixes the problem with blocking internet connection on host machine.

But the trouble with VM still stands, it can send packages throug bridge-connection but not recieving them back, so still no safe connection on VirtualMachin, and I am stuck again.

I am a new user for Ubuntu, recently I installed Preload for better performance, and then I got interested how can I clean its cache.

Is there any command to do it, I didn't find any in the internet.

"preload" was installed with command:

sudo apt install preload

After installing, I checked if its function with command:

sudo cat /var/lib/preload/preload.state
