I have a computer with Ubuntu 18.04.5 LTS and I'm trying to install Dropbox.

I've tried to download and install the .deb file from official site, and the installation seems ok, but after inserting my credentials inside the Dropbox web page, the Dropbox application stays "initializing/starting" always, during hours, and nothing happens.

I don't know if it is working or not. The Dropbox icon is on my top bar, but when I use dropbox status, the terminal shows Dropbox isn't running/responding!.

I've already tried to remove the Dropbox folders, uninstall and reinstall again, install by command line, but to no avail.

Would anyone know what might be happening?

For some reason, Firefox 71.0 is not working on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS.

I updated my Firefox through apt get upgrade to 71.0 version and Firefox does not open anymore. When I try to open the browser, just a crash message appears:

I tried to downgrade to 70.0 version, but another message appears, related to my bookmarks can corrupt with the downgrade.

I would like to know if there is an option either to upgrade my Firefox and it starts to work, or downgrade to 70.0 version again and my bookmarks do not corrupt.

Firefox 71.0 version appears when I use apt-cache show firefox | grep Version:

As @guiverc explained, according to here, 70 is the latest version. I don't know how I have 71 version available.

EDIT 3:

According to here and here, I believe Firefox 71 version is a beta version. I don't know why my Ubuntu is upgrading to a beta version.

Would someone know how could I do to stop my Ubuntu of installing beta versions?

I tried to update my Ubuntu 16.04 through sudo apt-get dist-upgrade, but now the terminal is frozen (terminal 1).

I let it run for an entire day (more than 24 hours) and I just suspended the OS once.

I've already tried to follow some tips on the internet (e.g here), but to no avail unfortunately.

Some piece of codes, that I found on the internet, I'm not able to use them, because the Ubuntu says that it is locked by another process (terminal 2).

Would anyone know what could be happening? Or what could I do to solve it? Because I don't know if was failed or successed, or if it is still running, because I've already tried to type some "enter"s, however nothing happens, neither it is created a new line on the terminal, it is frozen.

I'm trying to access the internet banking by Firefox on my Ubuntu 16.04, but even with the security module installed, it does not work.
