I wish to replace the empty dotted lines in "Quiz" from information given in "Answer" by using sed based text search, matching and replacement.
I wish to use sed to modify the starting and ending pattern of a code with odd/even occurrences in block/para, for e.g.
Word1 ..... Word1 Word1 ..... Word1
with replacing "word1" in the beginning with "NewWord1"(odd times, 1,3,5,7,..) and replacing "word1" in the end with "NewWord2"(even times, 2,4,6,...)
NewWord1 ..... NewWord2 NewWord1 ..... NewWord2
I have a file containing text

I wish to convert the above into
\textbf{This is bold text}
\emph{This is italicized text}
using stream editor(sed). Kindly guide me on this matter.
I have used this code
sed -i 's/\*\*\(.*\)\*\*/\\textbf{\1}/g' SampleCode
and it works like a charm

I have noted that using "zim wiki" one can export a notebook or page in pure latex format(not just equations) too. What is the point of such documents when we have a stand alone TEX application?
