In order to update Waterfox, I need to download and install the .tar.bz2 update. However, when I extract the Waterfox folder, there is no install file, readme file or obvious executable that I can use to complete the update. Any ideas?
Yu Buntu's questions
PlayOnLinux is unable to find 32 bits OpenGL libraries.
You might encounter problems with your games
I get the above message when trying to run PlayOnLinux. I'm not sure what I did to cause this issue. I use PlayOnLinux for WinRar. Most of the posts I've seen on this problem seem unrelated to my specific issue or seem to only semi-fix the problem.
After getting the above message I get:
PlayOnLinux cannot find wine (from Wine)
You should install it to use PlayOnLinux
Then when I run WinRar, I get:
PlayOnLinux has encountered an error. If the program does not work
correctly, it might be the cause of the problem.

Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks.
OK, I tried installing wine-stable using this:
sudo apt-get update
wget -nc https://dl.winehq.org/wine-builds/Release.key && sudo apt-key add Release.key
sudo apt-add-repository https://dl.winehq.org/wine-builds/ubuntu/
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install --install-recommends winehq-stable
I got the message that I had unmet dependencies in the form of wine-stable. so I ran this:
sudo apt-get install --install-recommends wine-stable
I got the message:
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
wine-stable : Depends: wine-stable-amd64 (= 4.0~bionic) but it is not going to be installed
Depends: wine-stable-i386 (= 4.0~bionic)
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.
Somehow Wine seems to be broken on my system.
I connect to the Internet on my laptop via the wifi hotspot on my phone. Currently I am able to connect to the hotspot, but unable to surf. I have tried tethering the phone to the computer, but no luck there either. I am able to connect to another (router) wifi hotspot and surf. I have tried all manner of fixes with no luck.
OK, I did the following. Pinging seems to work. The problem seems to be the same as that described here: Wifi connected but no internet. I can connect to my phone's wifi hotspot, but I get "Page Not Displayed" error messages on all browsers.

At least I THINK this is the problem. So I'm basically going about my business with various tasks when Ubuntu simply grinds to a crawl. It may take about ten minutes for normal behaviour to resume. I sometimes have to use htop to kill my running browsers. Every time this happens it seems there's an unresponsive web page in one of the browsers.
Any ideas on how to stop this behaviour? If there's an unresponsive web page it shouldn't cause the whole system to stall...
Is there a way to list all files in Nautilus on Ubuntu 18.04 using a query like "star dot star" in Windows?
I've checked other questions like this on Ask Ubuntu and they all lead me down rabbit holes which end up nowhere (e.g. use the edit menu in Nautilus...err...what edit menu?)
I'm having difficulty getting my Seagate 2 TB Expansion drive going on Ubuntu 18.04. It's not recognized in Nautilus or any of the GUI disk managers. It is visible in terminal using lsusb. I've tried some of the options suggested in other threads, e.g.:
sudo apt-get install ntfsprogs Gives me the message: "Package ntfsprogs is not available, but is referred to by another package. This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or is only available from another source."
sudo apt-get install ntfs-3g
Gives me the message:
ntfs-3g is already the newest version (1:2017.3.23-2). 0 to upgrade, 0 to newly install, 0 to remove and 0 not to upgrade.
I'd like to run the command sudo ntfsfix /dev/sdbXX , but the drive is not listed under df -h
I'm not sure what to do. Is this NTFS formatted and do I need to format it with FAT?
Here is the drive listed under lsusb. I'm assuming this is the drive because it doesn't appear when disconnected.

Thanks for any help.
In the GUI settings I previously moved the dock to the bottom of the screen. Now I can't move it back to the left of the screen. The change appears in the settings window, but nothing actually happens to the dock, even after reboot.
