I use Ubuntu 18.04 LTS with Xfce4. I have a very low-end computer and the storage size is very low, only 60GB. I almost stay at a few 100MB from the limit.

But now, my computer lagged so I forced to reboot, then I got the endless login loop thing. I pressed CTRL+ALT+F3 and I ran the command df -h I got as result that my disk was full at 100% and I got no byte left.

Then I tried to remove things, I am pretty sure I removed over than 300MB but it still says that I got 0 byte left. I tried it with different users but nothing works.

I tried to change the permissions of .Xauthority .ICEauthority and /tmp but these perms are correct.

Then I tried to install "lxdm" but I couldn't because I don't have the space left.

Please help me, I don't know what to do I cannot use my computer. : /

Hello I have a Linux computer (Ubuntu 18.04 for the core) and I have 3 desktop environments (KDE Plasma, XFCE and Budgie)

I was testing the KDE Plasma DE and I was really happy with it so I decided to make a backup to install Kubuntu on a fresh installation.

But the backup was very slow and I descovered something not cool with KDE, I cannot see the progress bar. So I switched on budgie and had the same issue. I done some benchmark tests and I got the following results:

More I make tests, worst are the results. I thought it was KDE specific but I tried on my two others and the results are sometimes better than KDE but really still very weird.

Do you have clues to solve this issue?

I am running out of memory on my computer and this is the output of "top":

Node is taking all my memory.

So I tried the following command several times:

sudo pkill -f node

Nothing change, when I try to stop it by the ID, it says that the ID doesn't exist, in deed the ID is changing every second. I don't know what is running in the background and I don't know how to stop it. Do you have an idea?

EDIT: The problem has been solved! Thanks to Terrance! I needed to run "top -c" to see what precise process caused the problem, it was "wekan" so I stopped the process: "systemctl stop snap.wekan.wekan"

I created a cloud with owncloud run in docker. I download and extract this :

I open terminal in the folder and I type this :

sudo docker-compose up

So when I go to 127.0.0.1, that works, when I go to 192.168.1.36 that works too.

I opened the ports 80 for 192.168.1.36 and I go by my public IP address, and firefox tell me :

"Unable to connect"

So I try with Chrome and it say :

xx.xxx.xx.xx refused to connect ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED

I try to change the addresses in the document docker-compose.yml but nothing changes.

PS : I use Ubuntu 18.10 Desktop

PS2 : I already try to stop docker and to start again but nothing changes.
