I am on Kubuntu 20.04LTS. KDE Plasma 5.18.5

Today, I found that the mouse cursor moves but cannot click at all. Sometimes the wheel works (exchange desktops) but sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes the mouse cursor is constantly shown as I beam style, sometimes it changes to arrow style and I beam style depending on where it is. Selecting on the Desktop by dragging the mouse never works. The keyboard always works.

After entering virtual desktop by Ctrl+Alt+F3 and exiting by Ctrl+Alt+F1, the mouse click starts working. But I have to perform Ctrl+Alt+F3 and then Ctrl+Alt+F1 every time after booting my Kubuntu.

I removed virtualbox-6.1 and checked if the issue got fixed, but that didn't fix it.

Is there anything I can do to fix the issue?

I've upgraded kubuntu 19.04 to 19.10.

During 19.04, animation desktop with a cube when switching effect worked well. The time for switching animation was set to 2000ms.

But after upgrading to 19.10, it doesn't work at all. Switching is completed immediately every time.

I checked 'KDE System Settings'.

'KDE System Settings'>'Virtual Desktops'>'Options'>'Animate desktop switching with a cube' Check box is checked and 'Desktop Cube Animation' is selected.

I installed the compiz package but it doesn't start on Plazma desktop.

What should I do to animate when switching virtual desktops?

Upto ubuntu 17.10 once monodevelop package were provided, but it seems no monodevelop package provided since ubuntu 18.04.

Is monodevelop no more provided by ubuntu developer for 19.10 or later version of ubuntu?

Since there is no monodevelop package for ubuntu 19.10, following the guild below url I tried to build it by myself, but failed.

sudo apt-get install libglade2-dev gnome-sharp2 gtk-sharp2 there is no gnome-sharp2 package.

./configure make Makefile:1: main/monodevelop_version: No such files or directories. make: *** no rules to make target 'main/monodevelop_version'. Abort.

Since there is no IDE that can develop RAD, gui applications using .net/mono on Linux, it is very very inconvenient. Is nobody else in trouble with this situation?

Currently I'm running latest version of kubuntu 19.04 disco.

Following the EoanUpgrades/Kubuntu, after releasing of 19.10 eoan, I've tried to upgrade my disco to eoan and so far no luck.

'sudo software-properties-qt' shows 'Normal Releases' in the Release Upgrade section under the 'Updates tab.

But 'sudo pkexec do-release-upgrade -m desktop -f DistUpgradeViewKDE' reports 'No New release found'.

Any suggestions?

I have a ink jet printer named 'epson pm-a890' connected directly via usb.

Ubuntu 19.04 automatically found the printer and configured it.

Configure

Name: PM-A890
Description: EPSON PM-A890
Driver: Current - EPson PM A890 - CUPS+Gutenprint v5.3.1

But when I start to print something, the printer prints nothing and it ejects all of the papers. I can't print anything from ubuntu at all. Even test page cant be printed. ubuntu drives the printer eject all of the paper...

On the other hands, Windows 10 can print without any problems via usb.

How to fix the trouble? Where should I check?

ubuntu19.04 disco, monodevelop 7.8.4(build 2)

Using monodevelop, I created a new solution(form based gtk# gui application). I added a Windows.Forms.Webbrowser control to my Form1.

When I start debugging, the application quit without showing a form at all. Instead of it, monodevelop left these messages below : libgluezilla not found. To have webbrowser support, you need libgluezilla installed

But libmono-webbrowser4.0-cil is already installed in the os ( as below ).

In the .pkg, there is a Mono.WebBrowser.dll but there seems to be no libgluezilla* at all. Is the ubuntu pkg correct?

What is the problem and how to fix it? Why monodevelop complains and doesn't run the applications using Windows.Forms.Webbrowser control at all?

Upto cosmic, KF5's inserthtmldialog.h exists here :

c : /usr/include/KF5/KPIMTextEdit/kpimtextedit/inserthtmldialog.h

But I couldn't find the file for disco.

Instead of KF5 version of inserthtmldialog.h, inserthtmldialog.h is installed at /usr/include/kpimtextedit/inserthtmldialog.h by installing kdepimlibs5-dev. But kdepimlibs5-dev and kf5 development libraries can't co-exist.

As far as searching for other distributions such as debian, fedora,... , inserthtmldialog.h under KF5 still seems to exist, so I can not understand why ubuntu disco has deleted this file. How can I fix this problem?

I must fix it for building blogilo.
