Let's say I installed mumble server. At the time of installation, it showed X MB of storage will be used (can't remember).
If I uninstall those programs, the size is relatively less than that of installation size.
Why is that so? Do I need to remove its configuration? How can I find app-specific configuration?

Let's assume I have 15 images in a folder. I opened an image located in 10th index. When I hit (right key) or click the right/left arrow in an image they just don't work.
I have a feeling that it works alphabetically. But I want it to show according to my current folder sort preferences.
If I move Spotify or Gedit next workspace, it would still show me. I want to show those items only if I switch to the next workspace.

How to calibrate ubuntu battery. I tried charging it to 100% & then tried to discharge it completely. But when the battery % was less than 3%, it automatically hibernated. I was not able to discharge it completely.
I shut down (or reboot) my laptop once a week. It takes around 1-2 minutes to turn off the system.
However, previously I was on Ubuntu 16.04 and was able to see logs by pressing Esc key. In this version, I can only see a blinking underscore _. Not an option to see logs.
Have anyone faced the same error?
None of the sources seems to be working. I even tried disconnecting Bluetooth & restarting the "Kazam" app.
Hi, It's been 4 days I've installed ubuntu 20.04 on my Dell Inspiron 3567. After installation, my 1st boot went well (I can't type a keyboard while on desktop). But after that, in every boot, I had the issue above. I can't refresh the icons either via mouse or keyboard. It's so irritating.

I've enabled some ports (80, 443) in sudo ufw allow 80/tcp & sudo ufw allow 443/tcp.
But those ports are still blocked.
Few days ago, I added permanent zone using sudo firewall-cmd --add-port 2224/tcp --permanent & sudo firewall-cmd --reload. This means 2224 port is only opened.
But what does ufw mean. Why allowing port using ufw doesn't work? It only worked when allowed from firewall-cmd.
I usually sleep my laptop. After waking, the swap usage has increased.
I don't know why it's happening only to me. Whenever copying bigger or sometimes smaller < 1GB files from PC to pendrive literally gets stuck at the end.
I want to copy all the final files from parent folder and child folders to a different folder. How to do that?
As I'm planning to buy an SSD and replace my old mechanical hard drive, I've heard rumors that having swap partition can decrease the life of SSD. So is this true? Or can I still have a swap partition on my SSD?
I just want to customize shortcuts for two actions i.e. Switching next tab & Switching previous tab. These two actions have already shortcuts assigned (Ctrl+PgUp & Ctrl+PgDn). I want to overwrite with my new keys.

I want thunderbird 60.2.1 to show email notifications even my thunderbird client is not active (running in background). It only works when I open the client. But It doesn't give notifications in background.
