Hardware A: Ubuntu 20.04 (192.168.1.61): Installed VNC server and added OpenVPN client config to some remote server C.

Hardware B: MacOS 11.1 (192.168.1.51): standart preinstalled VNC client.

From B to A i have perfect VNC connections when OpenVPN is disconnected. But when connect from A (as client) to OpenVPN server, VNC connection is immediately down. At the same time smb, ping (A <-> B) and traceroute (A <-> B) works perfect and with same behaviour like with disconnected OpenVPN (down only VNC).

From B to A (with and without VPN):

Why VNC isn't work when OpenVPN client connected on VNC server and how to bypass this behaviour? I need connect VNC server to OpenVPN network and don't lost VNC connection in same time.

Printer work without hplip setup.. How to make the scanner work?

But useful for me is physical disks like sda*, nvme*..

Is it possible with some params temporary hide loop* virtual devices? Or recommend me please another command for watch my devices.

It looks like some Ubuntu 18.04 update disable all non-system apps Tray Icons. Now those apps that should be minimized by clicking close (x) title bar's button. In this list all my apps with system tray icons like: Skype, ICQ, Telegram. + No any status indications.

I can only see default GNOME Dock when I click Activities:

What I am already trying to do:

1. I try remove GNOME files like .gnome .gnome2 .gconf .gconfd .metacity
2. I disable all installed Gnome Extensions with Gnome Tweaks GUI.
3. I 'Reset to Defaults' all Gnome Tweaks.
4. I reset all changes in gnome with dconf reset -f /org/gnome/
5. I try install sudo apt install gnome-shell-extension-ubuntu-dock but get message it already installed: gnome-shell-extension-ubuntu-dock is already the newest version (0.9.1ubuntu18.04.3).
6. Thousands restarts and log-out's..

Is it possible by application icon in Ubuntu (Applications or Dock) find run-path or run-command of this application?

For example, some apps is portable and was added manually, not from Ubuntu Software store.

If I want try use KDE Plasma instead of GNOME and install it as second desktop on already configured and working Ubuntu 18.04, will I be able to run/use all the old programs installed with (GNOME) Ubuntu Software using KDE environment OS login?

Is it possible setup GNOME to not lose or do not invert selection when cursor leave textfield and continue moving in right direction with holding mouse click? (KDE, MS Windows way: selection follow cursor even if them left the field). It is not always convenient and it is not always possible to move mouse cursor exactly along the text field, especially over long distances.

Examples with Firefox address bar (but you can see same behavior on any another textfield):

In 3rd case is no need return cursor to text field and spend time cursor aiming.

I see an empty drop down box where the language code of the current keyboard layout should be.

To reproduce the bug: Lock screen or log out and log in again.

I also get the same behavior on the lock screen at the time when I try to log in with my password:

After I tried the workaround (below) the language code on the login screen disappeared as soon as I typed the first character of my password.

Workaround (not permanent): Switching with keyboard (Super+space) or mouse.

System info: Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS, GNOME 3.28.2.

After some updates 05 Jan 2019 - 08 Jan 2019 I began to see sometimes:

(But this is NOT permanent! For example i made screenshot from normal behavior. + Same troubles on login screen which reduces the extensions effect!)

Stable:

Simple temporary fix - is select language with mouse cursor or twice with keyboard hotkeys.

How to prevent this behavior only for Opera browser in GNOME? Because some similar behavior have another programs like Firefox, VSCode.. But in case all another known me programs they just show File Menu when pressed single Alt and don't process next button like menu item. Another difference in behavior of Opera is very sensitive response to pressing Alt. Just need Alt key down and no mater was pressed another key in same time with Alt you will get menu opening in 90%.

After install Guest Additions and reboot i see flashing boot text and finally black screen.

If some user can't access some command with sudo 3 times, this should be reported to root user in access logs\errors..

Can root see these attempts (like passwords tried) in text in the logs?
