Hi all I just wanted to know is it possible to enable a p2p-dev-wlan0(p2p interface) for miracast over infrastructure mode. I think from wpa_cli we can set ap_vendor_elements to append the beacon and probe response frames, but I'm not sure will it work with with the capability of p2p device interface. Any help would be appreciated.
I have a USB wifi adapter of rtl8812au chip set.

Hi all I had a dual boot Windows + Ubuntu which I recently removed and switched back the Windows boot loader. Now again I wanted to install Ubuntu 18.04 which give me some issues.
when I plugin the live USB, it asks Try Ubuntu or Install Ubuntu, I selected Install Ubuntu and then it hangs with the image below.
UPDATE: Ok now, I have my 18.04 OS on my PC, the process was a long run but was able to get my 18.04 by installing 16.04 first later upgrading to 18.04.
I'm able to login but the same screen is present (basically no desktop). Hopefully, I'm able to use mouse operations and even open a terminal after a right click.
Update 2: I tried sudo gnome-shell --replace, it gave me some messages saying the following :
Window manager warning: Unsupported session type.

So is there a way to do this, as far as I am concerned I got the info that we can do it by using exec*() and fork() but I'm not sure about that. Any examples would be appreciated as I am a newbie.
EDIT1: -EXAMPLE I need a Program where the daemon will call the "date" command(not specifically date but including all other system commands) without super user privileges (aka root) and in-turn the daemon program should be called by my application created by me.
Hello guys is there any application which has the same functionalities of Miracle-cast on Ubuntu, even if its not open-source i would like to know as i wanted it on my Ubuntu 16.04 platform.
"NOTE: Ubuntu as Miracast Sender/receiver" I did check the above link, but was not able to conclude that its not available on Ubuntu. TIA
