I want to create liveUSB on part of my flash stick. I made a partition with GParted and downloaded .iso file of Ubuntu 19 from the official website to mount with gnome-disk-utility.
I noticed that the iso file has "amd64" in the name. But I intend to use this USB not only on amd computers!
Is that important? Will the live USB work on PC with Intel/other processor?
After turning on my laptop, I found my trackpad not working. I don't have separate mouse on me.
To troubleshoot, I'd need to surf the Internet, but of well I have disabled wifi on computer before turning it off
If I had mouse working, enabling wifi would've been 3 clicks corner->wifi->turn on (automatic log in is enabled), but, due to keyboard navigation in gnome being awful, I don't understand how to repeat those actions in my situation...
Right now I have phone to ask question here, but using it isn't comfortable (and i need to put it charging and not temper with it)
So... Please help?
Also, is there any program that allows to control cursor with keyboard? Would be of great help too

I keep having same issue - due to my bad habbits, my Firefox gets to open and hold in memory too many tabs. This causes RAM usage to eventually hit 100%
At which point whole system hardlocks. I can't even move my cursor to press "end process" in system monitor.
Same behavior appears when I run my code and take too much memory - everything stops working, mouse becomes unresponsive.
My guess is obvious - shortage of free memory blocks Gnome or Ubuntu itself.
So my guessed solution would be to make those OS systems reserve memory to always work and respond.
How do I do that?

My laptop came with an integrated intel GPU and with a discrete Nvidia GPU.
After the installation of ubuntu 18.04, the Nvidia server settings app was already installed and I am able to view the driver version through that.
How do I do this for the Intel driver?
I have a txt file that came to me from windows Gedit can't read it properly (cyrillic became garbage)
So far I haven't found a way to make gedit read it by changing something from UI Gedit itself has only spelling highlight, right click -> properties doesn't have anything like that either
Is that possible? If not, how do I read the file?

somewhere in the settings I turned on the "locate cursor by pressing CTRL" option that shows bright animation around cursor on pressing the button
It seems that it causes ctrl key no longer be readable by applications, so I want to turn it off.
and I can't find it in the settings
where can it be?
