Using Kazam or OBS to record my screen always results in a blank screen. Google searches do not show results for 19.04, only past versions. Any help?

LittleKitacho's questions
I am experiencing problems running GNOME Boxes on my Ubuntu 18.04 LTS machine. I belive that I have installed all of the currentlty avalable updates (not Disco Dingo though), and tried installing the packages like qemu, but to no avail. I am trying to run Ubuntu Server 18.04 LTS. Log files are here:

Any help would be appreciated.
The Files and Terminal apps on my machine will not open. Anytime I try, it loads for a bit, and then nothing. No loading sign, no window, no gui, no error, nothing. If it helps, when I start up my machine it shows an error saying that there was an issue with system applications. I always click "report problem".
