The Desktop Icons GNOME extension in Ubuntu 19.10 is not working properly. Double clicking an icon produces a notification saying there is an error:

Execution of "PATH_TO_FILE"
Command not found

I have found another desktop icons extension that works much better. However, Ubuntu does not let me turn off or delete the default extension, and it interferes with the new extension. Using the Synaptic Package Manager says it will also remove ubuntu-desktop and ubuntu-desktop-minimal. Is there a way to remove the extension safely?

I have had inconsistent cursor themes in Kubuntu. This is the cursor going between Discord and the desktop. The cursor theme is set to Breeze. How do I fix this issue?

On Kubuntu 19.10, I would like the Downloads folder to be sorted by date modified, and other folders to be sorted alphabetically. However, whenever I sort the Downloads folder by Date Modified, every other folder is sorted that way as well. How do I set a custom setting only for the Downloads folder?

The settings app does not open at all. I have tried restarting the computer, uninstalling and reinstalling gnome-control-center. Neither method worked. I don't remember doing anything that may cause this issue.

When I save files to the Desktop, sometimes they end up behind the dock. Is there a way restrict the x or y positions of the icons?

I installed Sushi to be able to preview files. However, when I try to preview OpenDocument files, the entire system freezes. Why do OpenDocument files do this, and are there any alternatives that do not have this issue?

I was recently searching for wallpaper managers for Ubuntu 18.04. I remember coming across one that had the option of changing the wallpaper at random time intervals. Problem is, I cannot find what it was called. Does anyone here know of any? Thank you.
