How to stop follow command on journalctl log file without ctrl+c and save the output to a file

I am running the following command and saving the output to a file:

sudo journalctl -u iotedge -f >> sub.txt

the problem is ,i have to stop the operation of the command with ctrl+c otherwise it won't go back to command prompt. Is there any way to stop the follow command and save it's output to a file without pressing ctrl+c.

Enabling ssh logs on ubuntu system

I want to enable ssh logs on my ubuntu system to monitor actions performed by any ssh connection. My first question is whether i can see these actions in ssh logs and if so then how can i start ssh logs in my ubuntu system.

I think the log files are enabled from the following file :

/etc/rsyslog.d/50-default.conf

What command should i put in this to enable ssh logs. Would be great help

How to see activities performed from WinSCP on ubuntu system

I frequently connect to ubuntu machines from WinSCP to perform some file actions like copying or deleting files. But these actions do not get recorded in any of the logs(Not that i know of) of Ubuntu system. Is there any way to record these actions and who the user was who performed these actions.IP address and timestamp notation would be even greater.

How to see time in ~/.bash_history file

I added time to the ~/.bashrc file, so now it shows me time when I execute history command like this:

What are the values after # ?. Can anyone help me deduce it's meaning or tell me a way to get timestamp in ~/.bash_history file.

Terminal command for getting information about the time and user of all the commands executed in all sessions of terminal

I want to know which user executed which command on terminal and when i.e. if any of the user does "rmdir abc" and removes a specific directory , i should know which command he executed and at what time.And i don't want it for a single session, this data should be available to me like we maintain logs, so that i can analyze it for any point of time.

I tried the history command as well and also added time to it but it does not show "Users" of the command and also it is session based ,so it's data does not get appended to ~/.bash_history file unless the session is exited. Also ~/.bash_history does not show time and user so it's not usefull.Can anyone help me please.I just want to see which user executed which command from the moment the system is started and at what time.

Using grep and sed to make changes to a config.yaml file

I have a config.yaml file which i want to edit or make changes to using a bash script. So i got a command using grep and sed which gives me the desired changes , but the problem is that when i apply sed it gets applied to whole file including the section i want to edit. Following is the section of file before editing:

Now i want to edit from "# DPS TPM provisioning configuration" to "# registration_id: "{registration_id}"" at line 42. so i use the following command:

which gives me following output:

This edits the required part but along with that the whole file as well.I just want to apply sed on grep output of the file only and not the entire file. Can anyone help with the command please!

Multiple Processes getting stopped with error "Resource temporarily unavailable" and "can't fork" resulting in crash

We are running a script on Dell Edge gateway 3002 to send data to cloud, but after running for 4-5 days the gateway becomes unresponsive(hanged state) and can't be pinged. The gateway has Ubuntu 18.04.3 on it . After checking the logs we get multiple "can't fork/exec" and "Resource temporary unavailable" errors related to cron,docker,..etc

These errors keep on repeating. We also tried checking and changing the following limits:

kernel.pid_max limit (kernel limit)
ulimit -u (user limit)
systemctl status cron/docker | grep Tasks (service limit)

But there was no luck!! Please help give some insights!!
